Which companies sponsor visas for project management leads in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers with a track record of H-1B sponsorship for project management roles include Epic Systems in Verona, Northwestern Mutual and Kohl's in Milwaukee, and American Family Insurance in Madison. Large healthcare systems such as Advocate Aurora Health also sponsor project management leads. Manufacturing firms in the Fox Valley region, including paper and packaging companies, periodically sponsor these roles as well.
Which visa types are most common for project management lead roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project management leads in Wisconsin, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA successor agreement. Those with extraordinary professional recognition may explore the O-1A, though it requires substantial documented achievement.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most project management lead sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is Wisconsin's primary hub for project management lead sponsorship, driven by its concentration of financial services, healthcare, and retail corporate headquarters. Madison follows closely, anchored by Epic Systems, the University of Wisconsin system, and state government technology initiatives. Green Bay sees demand from logistics and manufacturing employers, while Appleton and the broader Fox Valley corridor generate openings in paper, packaging, and industrial sectors.
How to find project management lead visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter project management lead roles by state, so you can browse Wisconsin-specific opportunities from employers already open to sponsoring. Because project management lead positions span healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and technology in Wisconsin, using a platform that surfaces sponsorship-confirmed listings saves significant research time compared to manually vetting each employer.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for project management lead sponsorship?
Wisconsin employers filing H-1B petitions for project management leads must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which are benchmarked to the Milwaukee and Madison metropolitan areas separately, so offers tied to smaller markets may reflect different wage levels. Epic Systems, one of Wisconsin's largest H-1B sponsors, runs a structured hiring pipeline for experienced project management professionals. University of Wisconsin-Madison also contributes international graduates who transition from OPT into sponsored project management roles at state employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management lead jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
