Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for risk compliance analysts?
Milwaukee-based financial institutions are the most active sponsors for risk compliance analyst roles in Wisconsin. Northwestern Mutual, Fiserv, Associated Banc-Corp, and Baird have all filed H-1B petitions for compliance-related positions in recent years. UW Health and SSM Health in Madison sponsor for healthcare compliance roles. Smaller regional banks and insurance carriers sponsor less frequently, though it does occur.
Which visa types are most common for risk compliance analyst roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for risk compliance analysts in Wisconsin, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the economist or accountant category, depending on the role's specific duties and the employer's documentation.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most risk compliance analyst sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is Wisconsin's primary market for risk compliance analyst sponsorship, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and fintech employers. Madison is the second-strongest market, particularly for healthcare compliance and state regulatory-adjacent roles connected to UW-Madison's research and administrative operations. Green Bay and Appleton have smaller but active financial services sectors, though sponsored roles appear far less frequently there.
How to find risk compliance analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify risk compliance analyst roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. You can search by role and state to surface active openings at Wisconsin employers like Fiserv and Northwestern Mutual. This saves significant time compared to manually screening general job postings for sponsorship eligibility.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for risk compliance analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Wisconsin's financial services sector is heavily insurance-weighted, so compliance analysts with experience in insurance regulation or familiarity with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners framework, which is headquartered in Kansas City but heavily shaped by Wisconsin regulators, may have an edge. UW-Madison and Marquette University produce pipeline talent that some employers draw from, and familiarity with COSO or SOX compliance frameworks is consistently valued across Wisconsin's major sponsoring employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored risk compliance analyst jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
