Which companies sponsor visas for sales support specialists in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity in business and sales operations include Fiserv, Northwestern Mutual, Johnson Controls, Oshkosh Corporation, and Rockwell Automation. Larger financial services and manufacturing technology firms in Milwaukee and Madison are the most consistent sponsors, as they have established HR and legal infrastructure to support visa petitions for support roles.
Which visa types are most common for sales support specialist roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for sales support specialists, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, marketing, or communications. Some candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization from Wisconsin universities take up these positions before transitioning to employer-sponsored status. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most sales support specialist sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee accounts for the largest share of sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and technology firms. Madison follows closely, supported by a growing tech sector and proximity to the University of Wisconsin. Green Bay and Appleton also have relevant openings, particularly within manufacturing and distribution companies that maintain regional sales operations and support teams.
How to find sales support specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for sales support specialist roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't support international candidates. You can filter by state and role type to surface active openings from employers who have indicated sponsorship willingness, which saves significant time compared to reviewing general job postings individually.
Are there state-specific considerations for sales support specialists seeking visa sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers sponsoring H-1B workers must pay the prevailing wage for the specific role and location as determined by the Department of Labor, which varies between Milwaukee, Madison, and smaller markets. Candidates from University of Wisconsin-Madison or Marquette University who have established local networks may find it easier to secure sponsoring employers, since Wisconsin-based companies often prefer candidates already familiar with regional industries like manufacturing, insurance, and financial technology.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored sales support specialist jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
