Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for technical product managers?
Fiserv in Brookfield and Milwaukee is one of the most active sponsors, given its large engineering workforce in financial technology. Epic Systems in Verona regularly hires technical product managers for its healthcare software platform. Rockwell Automation and Harley-Davidson also maintain technology organizations that have sponsored H-1B visa roles. American Family Insurance and Northwestern Mutual round out the list of Milwaukee-area employers with established sponsorship track records.
What visa types are most commonly used for technical product manager roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical product managers in Wisconsin, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field like computer science, engineering, or information systems. Employers at research-adjacent institutions may also support O-1 visas for candidates with exceptional credentials. TN visa status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying technical roles.
Which Wisconsin cities have the most technical product manager visa sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and its western suburbs, particularly Brookfield and Wauwatosa, account for the largest share of technical product manager sponsorship activity, driven by Fiserv, Northwestern Mutual, and ManpowerGroup's technology divisions. Madison is a close second, anchored by Epic Systems and a growing startup ecosystem around the University of Wisconsin. Smaller concentrations exist in Green Bay and Eau Claire, though sponsorship opportunities there are significantly less frequent.
How to find technical product manager visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse technical product manager roles posted by Wisconsin employers who have confirmed they sponsor. You can narrow results to cities like Milwaukee or Madison and filter by role type. Because sponsorship willingness is often unlisted on general job boards, using a platform like Migrate Mate built around this criteria saves significant time in the search.
Are there any state-specific considerations for technical product managers seeking sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin does not impose state-level licensing requirements on technical product managers, so federal visa requirements are the primary concern. The University of Wisconsin system, particularly in Madison, creates a pipeline of international graduates who enter the local job market and may seek employer sponsorship after OPT. Employers in Wisconsin's health IT sector, especially those working with Epic's ecosystem, tend to be more familiar with H-1B sponsorship processes than employers in other industries.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical product manager jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
