Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for technical solutions architects?
Fiserv in Milwaukee and Brookfield is one of the most active H-1B sponsors in Wisconsin for technology roles, including solutions architects. Northwestern Mutual, Epic Systems in Verona, Johnson Controls, and Kohler also have documented sponsorship histories for senior technical roles. Mid-sized financial technology and healthcare IT firms in the Milwaukee and Madison metro areas round out the employer pool.
Which visa types are most common for technical solutions architect roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for technical solutions architects in Wisconsin, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with a relevant master's degree may also be considered for EB-2 green card sponsorship by larger employers. L-1A and L-1B transfers are another pathway for candidates relocating from multinational companies with Wisconsin offices.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most technical solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee and its suburbs, particularly Brookfield and Waukesha, account for the largest share of technical solutions architect openings in Wisconsin, driven by the financial services and insurance sectors. Madison is the second-strongest market, anchored by Epic Systems and a growing technology services ecosystem. Green Bay has a smaller but active market, primarily in manufacturing and supply chain technology.
How to find technical solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse technical solutions architect roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces openings from employers like Fiserv, Epic Systems, and Northwestern Mutual that have active sponsorship histories, saving significant research time for candidates on H-1B, OPT, or other work authorization.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific factors that affect technical solutions architect sponsorship?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B roles are set based on the specific metro area, so Milwaukee and Madison rates differ from smaller markets like Green Bay or Racine. The University of Wisconsin system produces a steady pipeline of international graduate students in computer science and engineering, many of whom pursue OPT and then H-1B sponsorship with Wisconsin employers. Candidates should note that smaller regional firms outside the major metros are less likely to have prior sponsorship experience.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical solutions architect jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
