Which companies in Florida sponsor visas for technical solutions architects?
Large technology employers and system integrators with a Florida presence, including Cisco, IBM, Accenture, and Cognizant, have a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for technical solutions architects. Defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin and L3Harris, which maintain major facilities in the state, also sponsor this role. Enterprise software firms and cloud providers operating in Miami's growing tech corridor are additional sources of sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for technical solutions architect roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical solutions architects in Florida, as the role consistently qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. L-1B intracompany transferee visas are also used when candidates transfer from an employer's overseas office. Candidates with extraordinary ability may pursue the O-1A, though this requires substantial documentation of recognition in the field.
Which cities in Florida have the most technical solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for technical solutions architect sponsorship activity, driven by its fintech sector and concentration of Latin American regional headquarters. Orlando follows closely, supported by simulation and defense technology companies alongside a growing enterprise software cluster. Tampa has expanded significantly due to financial services firms and healthcare IT companies. Jacksonville also sees sponsorship activity from logistics technology and banking operations headquartered there.
How to find technical solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter technical solutions architect roles by state, so you can focus exclusively on Florida employers actively open to sponsoring. Because sponsorship willingness is not always stated in standard job postings, Migrate Mate surfaces employers with a confirmed sponsorship history, saving significant research time compared to general job searching.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for technical solutions architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since the Department of Labor's wage determinations are based on gross compensation. Florida's university system, including the University of Florida and University of Central Florida, produces a pipeline of engineering graduates that influences local hiring competition. The state's defense and aerospace corridor along the Space Coast also means some technical solutions architect roles may require security clearance eligibility, which can complicate sponsorship for non-citizens.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical solutions architect jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
