Search Technical Solutions Architect Jobs in MichiganTechnical Solutions Architect Jobs in Michigan: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for technical solutions architects in Michigan?
Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Stellantis, and Rocket Companies are among Michigan's most active sponsors for technical solutions architect roles, given their significant investment in enterprise software and cloud infrastructure. Large consulting firms with Michigan delivery centers, including Deloitte and Infosys, also regularly sponsor H-1B visas for solutions architects supporting automotive and manufacturing clients.
Which visa types are most common for technical solutions architect roles in Michigan?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical solutions architects in Michigan, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA engineer category, which does not require lottery selection and can be particularly efficient for Michigan's cross-border workforce given the state's proximity to Ontario.
Which cities in Michigan have the most technical solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Detroit and its immediate suburbs, including Dearborn, Southfield, and Troy, concentrate the highest volume of technical solutions architect sponsorship jobs due to the automotive OEM and supplier ecosystem. Ann Arbor generates consistent demand through its university spinouts and technology companies. Grand Rapids is a growing secondary market, particularly in healthcare IT and manufacturing technology, with employers like Spectrum Health and Steelcase hiring for enterprise architecture roles.
How to find technical solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Michigan?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa-sponsored roles, and filters technical solutions architect jobs in Michigan by companies with active H-1B sponsorship history. Rather than sorting through general postings, Migrate Mate surfaces employers in Michigan's automotive, financial technology, and enterprise software sectors that have documented sponsorship track records, helping you focus your applications on realistic opportunities.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical solutions architects seeking sponsorship in Michigan?
Michigan's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B technical solutions architect roles are calculated at the county level using Department of Labor data, and rates in Wayne, Washtenaw, and Oakland counties reflect the Detroit metro market. The University of Michigan and Michigan State University produce a steady pipeline of international graduates in computer science and engineering who compete for the same sponsorship roles, meaning employers in Ann Arbor and East Lansing are generally experienced with visa processes and OPT-to-H-1B transitions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical solutions architect jobs in Michigan?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
