Which companies sponsor visas for technical solutions architects in South Carolina?
Companies actively hiring technical solutions architects in South Carolina with a history of visa sponsorship include IBM, Capgemini, and Infosys, which have delivery centers in the state, as well as large manufacturers like Michelin and BMW that maintain significant IT and enterprise architecture functions. Financial institutions such as Truist and regional banks headquartered in the Carolinas corridor also file sponsorship petitions for senior technical roles.
Which visa types are most common for technical solutions architect roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for technical solutions architects in South Carolina, as the role consistently meets the specialty occupation standard requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Candidates from India and China may also hold L-1A or L-1B visas through intracompany transfers, particularly at multinational firms like Bosch and Capgemini with South Carolina operations.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most technical solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Greenville sees strong demand for technical solutions architects, driven by the Upstate manufacturing corridor and its supporting IT ecosystem. Columbia, as the state capital, offers roles in government contracting, healthcare IT, and financial services. Charleston is growing steadily, particularly in defense technology and logistics tech. Smaller concentrations exist near Spartanburg, often tied to European automotive manufacturers and their enterprise systems teams.
How to find technical solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate is the most focused way to find technical solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina. The platform filters specifically for roles where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness, saving time compared to sifting through general postings. For this role, it helps to filter by industry verticals common in South Carolina, particularly manufacturing technology, government IT, and financial services, where sponsorship is more consistently offered for senior architecture positions.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical solutions architects seeking visa sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina does not have a state income tax on wages in the same graduated structure as many states, which affects prevailing wage context since the Department of Labor sets H-1B wage levels based on local area data for the specific metropolitan statistical area, not statewide averages. Greenville-Spartanburg, Columbia, and Charleston each have distinct prevailing wage determinations for technical solutions architect roles, so the offered wage requirement will differ depending on which city the position is based in.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical solutions architect jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
