Which companies sponsor visas for technical solutions architects in Connecticut?
Hartford-based insurers and financial services firms are among the most active sponsors, including Cigna, Travelers, and Aetna. Defense and aerospace contractors such as Raytheon Technologies and General Dynamics also hire technical solutions architects with visa sponsorship. Stamford's concentration of financial and enterprise software companies, including Synchrony and UBS, rounds out the primary sponsoring employer pool in the state.
Which visa types are most common for technical solutions architect roles in Connecticut?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for technical solutions architects in Connecticut, given that the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and qualifies as a specialty occupation. Candidates with advanced qualifications sometimes pursue the O-1A. Australians working in this field may consider the E-3 visa, which avoids the H-1B lottery entirely.
Which cities in Connecticut have the most technical solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Hartford leads the state for technical solutions architect openings, driven by its dense concentration of insurance carriers and financial services firms that rely heavily on enterprise technology. Stamford is the second major hub, with multinational corporations and financial institutions headquartered there. New Haven and the surrounding area also see demand, particularly from healthcare systems, Yale University affiliated organizations, and biotech companies.
How to find technical solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Connecticut?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to show roles with confirmed visa sponsorship, so you can search for technical solutions architect positions in Connecticut without sorting through employers who won't sponsor. The platform is built for international candidates and surfaces openings from Hartford's insurance sector, Stamford's financial firms, and defense contractors across the state, saving significant time compared to unfiltered general searches.
Are there any state-specific considerations for technical solutions architects pursuing sponsorship in Connecticut?
Connecticut's insurance and financial services industry is one of the most regulated sectors in the country, which means technical solutions architects often need domain knowledge alongside technical credentials. Hartford is designated a major insurance capital, so employers there tend to evaluate candidates against both technical and industry-specific experience. The state's proximity to New York City also creates competition for talent, which can work in favor of sponsored candidates given employer urgency to fill specialized roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical solutions architect jobs in Connecticut?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
