Which companies in Wisconsin sponsor visas for vice president roles?
Milwaukee-based financial firms are among the most active sponsors for senior roles, with Northwestern Mutual, Robert W. Baird, and Associated Bank regularly hiring at the vice president level. Healthcare systems including Froedtert Health and UW Health in Madison also sponsor executive talent. Manufacturing companies such as Oshkosh Corporation, Regal Rexnord, and Johnson Controls have sponsorship histories for senior leadership positions across Wisconsin.
Which visa types are most common for vice president roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for vice presidents in Wisconsin, as these roles typically require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, satisfying the specialty occupation requirement. Senior professionals with extraordinary ability may qualify for the O-1A. Multinational executives transferring from a foreign parent, affiliate, or subsidiary into a Wisconsin vice president role may be eligible for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most vice president visa sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee concentrates the most vice president sponsorship activity, driven by its financial services sector, insurance industry, and corporate headquarters. Madison follows, anchored by healthcare systems, the University of Wisconsin, and a growing technology sector. Green Bay and Appleton see sponsorship for vice president roles in manufacturing, insurance, and regional banking, though at lower volumes than Milwaukee or Madison.
How to find vice president visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it possible to browse vice president roles in Wisconsin without sorting through positions that don't sponsor. Because vice president titles vary widely across industries, searching by function alongside location on Migrate Mate helps surface relevant openings in Milwaukee's financial sector, Madison's healthcare systems, and Wisconsin's manufacturing hubs.
Are there state-specific considerations for vice presidents seeking visa sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B program reflect regional compensation benchmarks, which can differ from national averages, particularly outside Milwaukee. The University of Wisconsin System is a notable pipeline for international talent moving into senior roles at affiliated research institutions and spin-off companies. Wisconsin's manufacturing and financial services sectors tend to have more established legal and HR infrastructure for sponsoring executive-level foreign nationals than smaller regional employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vice president jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
