Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Maintains various types of building and mechanical systems to include, but not limited to: refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical, automation, medical gas and fire protection systems, Energy Management, and Work Order Management systems.
- Under supervision, ensure safe and efficient operation of various types of mechanical systems to include, but not limited to: building, refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, electrical, automation, medical gas and fire protection systems, and follows through to completion any required repairs maintenance and alterations.
- Participates in skilled maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, electrical, buildings and structures and ensures they are well-maintained, including: boilers, chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, air handling equipment, variable frequency drives, remote terminal units, ceilings, walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, furniture, framework, drywall, and locks.
- Ensure maintenance of all systems as required by applicable codes and standards.
- Log equipment performance readings as assigned.
- Ensure that personnel are trained, and supplies are available to keep all structures in good repair.
- Stay abreast of Building Maintenance Mechanics by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Maintains building components such as ceilings, walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, elevators, stairways and building interior & exterior.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance Measures.
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Log daily reading of equipment and systems as assigned.
- Review Work Orders daily and complete associated tasks/repairs by Type/Priority.
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
