Job Overview:
Build it. Prove it. Start it up. On the floor and in the field, this isn’t a stay-in-one-place technician role. As our Manufacturing Systems Technician, you’ll operate in two worlds—splitting your time between hands-on fabrication in our Sedalia facility (~70%) and field support (~20–30%). From cutting and assembling PVC/CPVC systems (with some stainless in the mix), this is precision, hands-on work where what you build is exactly what ships—no separation between effort and outcome. The other 20–30% of the time, you’re on-site, in front of the customer, watching your system come to life.
You’ll verify installations, run wet and leak testing, and troubleshoot in real time—making the call when something’s off and fixing it before it slows the project down. When things don’t go to plan—and sometimes they won’t—you’re the one who figures it out and keeps everything moving. We’re not standing still either. We’re expanding and actively scaling, with a strong pipeline of projects already lined up. You won’t be stepping into maintenance mode—you’ll be stepping into build mode, where your impact is visible from day one. If you read mechanical drawings, system layouts, without hesitation, work confidently in fabrication, and communicate clearly when it matters—especially under pressure—you’ll do well here. More importantly, this is for someone who takes ownership when the system is live, not just when it’s on paper. Bottom line: This role is built for someone who wants to go beyond building parts—someone who takes pride in building complete systems and seeing them through to successful startup and real-world performance.

Semiconductor Fab Technicians Have the Most Urgent Demand
Intel, TSMC, Samsung, GlobalFoundries, and Micron are hiring thousands of manufacturing technicians for new and expanding U.S. fabs under CHIPS Act timelines. Process technicians operating deposition, etch, CMP, and lithography equipment earn $50,000 to $80,000 with cleanroom premiums.
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Requires GMP Expertise
Pfizer, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, and Amgen sponsor for manufacturing technicians operating FDA-regulated production lines for biologics, vaccines, and sterile injectables. GMP knowledge and aseptic technique proficiency are specialized skills that support H-1B classification.
Engineering Technology Degrees Strengthen H-1B Classification
A bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering technology, electronics, or chemical technology significantly improves H-1B specialty occupation arguments for technician titles. Four-year degree holders have materially stronger petitions than candidates with associate's degrees alone.
EB-3 Skilled Worker Provides a Green Card Without H-1B
Manufacturing technicians with trade certifications and two or more years of experience qualify for EB-3 skilled worker sponsorship through PERM labor certification. Processing takes 2 to 4 years but leads directly to permanent residency.
Battery and EV Manufacturing Is a Growing Sponsor
Panasonic, LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, and Tesla sponsor for battery cell manufacturing technicians at new gigafactories in Nevada, Kansas, Georgia, and Texas. These facilities need thousands of technicians trained in electrode coating, cell assembly, and formation testing.
Manufacturer Certifications Make You Difficult to Replace
Factory certifications from FANUC, ABB, Siemens, Applied Materials, or Lam Research qualify you as an authorized service and operations technician. Employers invest in sponsorship for certified technicians because retraining replacements takes 6 to 12 months.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can manufacturing technicians get visa sponsorship?
Yes, through specific pathways. Semiconductor and pharmaceutical manufacturing technicians with engineering technology degrees qualify for H-1B visa at Intel, TSMC, Pfizer, and Merck. EB-3 skilled worker green card sponsorship is available for experienced technicians through employers who prove domestic recruitment failure.
What is the typical salary for sponsored Manufacturing Technician roles?
General manufacturing technicians earn $38,000 to $55,000. Semiconductor fab technicians earn $50,000 to $80,000 with cleanroom premiums. Pharmaceutical process technicians earn $48,000 to $75,000. Battery manufacturing technicians at gigafactories earn $45,000 to $68,000.
Which industries sponsor Manufacturing Technicians most frequently?
Semiconductor fabrication leads due to CHIPS Act expansion creating thousands of positions. Pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing sponsors for GMP-regulated production. Battery and EV manufacturing at new gigafactories is growing rapidly. Aerospace and defense sponsors for precision manufacturing at Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman.
How to find Manufacturing Technician jobs with visa sponsorship?
To find Manufacturing Technician jobs with visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate, which specializes in connecting international candidates with sponsored opportunities. Focus your search on automotive, aerospace, electronics, and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, as they frequently sponsor H-1B and other work visas for skilled technicians. These industries often have ongoing talent shortages and actively recruit internationally.
What qualifications improve a Manufacturing Technician's sponsorship prospects?
A bachelor's in engineering technology provides the strongest H-1B foundation. Cleanroom certifications, GMP training, and manufacturer-specific equipment certifications demonstrate specialized skills. For EB-3, documented trade certifications and two or more years of experience are required.
What is the career progression for a sponsored Manufacturing Technician?
The path moves from technician to senior technician to process lead to production supervisor to manufacturing manager. Production supervisors earn $65,000 to $95,000. Some technicians transition into process engineering, quality assurance, or equipment engineering with additional education.
