Find Cardiac Technician JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Do cardiac technicians qualify for H-1B visa sponsorship?
Yes, cardiac technicians can qualify for H-1B sponsorship when the position requires specialized knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and diagnostic equipment, plus a bachelor's degree in cardiovascular technology, health sciences, or related field. The role must demonstrate specialty occupation requirements beyond basic medical assistant duties.
What degree do I need for cardiac technician visa sponsorship?
Most successful cases require a bachelor's degree in cardiovascular technology, health sciences, biomedical engineering, or related field. Associate degrees combined with specialized cardiovascular certifications and extensive experience may qualify under the experience substitution rule, but bachelor's degrees have higher approval rates.
Which healthcare employers sponsor cardiac technicians most often?
Large hospital systems, academic medical centers, and specialized cardiac care facilities sponsor most cardiac technician visas. Organizations like Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and major university hospitals have established programs. Smaller cardiology practices rarely sponsor due to cost and complexity.
Can TN visa holders work as cardiac technicians?
Cardiac technicians don't appear on the TN visa occupation list directly, but may qualify under 'Medical Technologist' if they hold appropriate credentials and work in laboratory settings. Most cardiac technicians pursuing TN status need to carefully frame their role within an approved occupation category.
What's the approval rate for cardiac technician H-1B petitions?
Healthcare technician H-1B petitions have approval rates around 75-85% when properly documented with specialized degree requirements and detailed job descriptions emphasizing technical complexity. Cases fail when they appear too similar to non-degreed medical assistant positions or lack specialty occupation evidence.
How to find Cardiac Technician jobs with visa sponsorship?
To find Cardiac Technician jobs with visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate, which specializes in connecting healthcare professionals with sponsoring employers. Focus your search on hospitals, cardiac centers, and diagnostic imaging facilities that frequently sponsor H-1B and EB-3 visas for medical technicians. These employers often have ongoing needs for skilled cardiac technicians and established visa sponsorship programs.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Cardiac Technician jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
