The Food & Beverage Runner supports restaurant and banquet service by ensuring timely, accurate, and professional delivery of food from the kitchen to guests. This role plays a key part in maintaining service flow, presentation standards, and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced, high-volume hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to dining areas, and service stations quickly and accurately.
- Ensure food is presented according to Hyatt standards, including proper garnishing, plate cleanliness, and temperature control.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and supervisors regarding order status and special requests.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down service stations, buffets, and banquet areas as needed.
- Support servers by replenishing bread, condiments, water, and service items during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
- Handle food with care and follow all safety and sanitation standards.
- Respond courteously to guest requests and escalate concerns to supervisors when appropriate.
