Target casino management roles over entry-level positions
Floor supervisory positions requiring bachelor's degrees in hospitality management or business administration have stronger H-1B cases than basic runner roles focused on customer service tasks.
Emphasize analytical and operational responsibilities
Highlight duties involving data analysis, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, or gaming operations management to strengthen the specialty occupation requirement for visa petitions.
Focus on larger casino resorts and hotel groups
Major operators like MGM, Caesars, and tribal gaming enterprises have more experience with visa sponsorship and legal resources for immigration processes.
Consider gaming regulation and compliance specializations
Roles requiring knowledge of state gaming laws, anti-money laundering compliance, or responsible gaming protocols often justify bachelor's degree requirements more easily.
Research state-specific gaming license requirements
Some states require gaming licenses for floor personnel. Verify whether your visa status affects licensing eligibility before applying to casino positions in that jurisdiction.
Network through hospitality management programs
Casino recruiters often partner with hospitality schools for management trainee programs. These structured programs typically have clearer degree requirements supporting visa sponsorship cases.

Find Casino Floor Runner JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Do casino floor runners need a bachelor's degree for H-1B sponsorship?
Most entry-level floor runner positions don't require bachelor's degrees, making H-1B sponsorship unlikely. However, floor supervisor or gaming operations coordinator roles often require degrees in hospitality management, business, or related fields. Focus on management-track positions that explicitly list degree requirements in job postings to improve sponsorship prospects.
Which casinos are most likely to sponsor visas for floor staff?
Large casino resort chains like MGM Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, and major tribal gaming operations have more experience with visa sponsorship. They typically sponsor for management roles, gaming compliance positions, and specialized operations roles rather than entry-level floor positions. Look for corporations with dedicated HR immigration teams.
Can international gaming experience help with visa sponsorship?
Yes, specialized experience with international gaming regulations, VIP customer management, or specific gaming systems can strengthen your case. Employers may argue that your unique background in different gaming markets provides specialized knowledge that qualifies the role as a specialty occupation under H-1B requirements.
Do gaming licenses affect visa sponsorship eligibility?
Gaming license requirements vary by state and may consider immigration status. Some jurisdictions restrict licenses for certain visa categories. Research state gaming commission requirements before applying. Your prospective employer's legal team should verify license eligibility as part of the sponsorship process to avoid complications after visa approval.
What's the typical approval rate for casino worker H-1B petitions?
Entry-level casino positions have lower H-1B approval rates due to difficulty proving specialty occupation requirements. Management roles requiring hospitality degrees see better success rates. USCIS scrutinizes whether the position truly requires a bachelor's degree versus on-the-job training. Focus on roles with clear degree requirements and analytical responsibilities.
How to find Casino Floor Runner jobs with visa sponsorship?
To find Casino Floor Runner positions with visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate, which specializes in connecting international candidates with sponsoring employers. Focus your search on major casino resorts, gaming corporations, and hospitality companies that frequently sponsor H-2B or EB-3 visas for entry-level gaming positions. These employers often need international workers to fill floor runner roles in their casino operations.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Casino Floor Runner jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
