Our Values
We credit much of our success to our exceptional team. We’re looking for mission-driven builders who thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, and embody our four core values:
Care first: We do whatever it takes for our students to succeed.
Learn quickly: We test, learn with data, and iterate.
Build together: We win when we rely on each other.
Own it: We show up, take initiative, and show pride.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Analyst to support the migration and build-out of our RN-to-BSN program, a 16-course degree completion program launching in July 2026. This is a hands-on content operations role. You'll work closely with our Learning Program Manager and Content Developers to move an existing nursing curriculum from a legacy LMS into the Stepful Classroom. The work requires precision, strong organizational skills, and comfort navigating eLearning platforms. You'll be responsible for cataloging existing content, drafting structured content entry documents, building course content directly in our platform, and conducting quality assurance reviews before launch. This opportunity is fully remote. Expected hours: 20-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain a Content Inventory Spreadsheet across courses, documenting all content types, grading weights, and migration notes on a week-by-week basis
Draft Content Entry Docs that translate audited course materials into structured build instructions for the Stepful Classroom
Enter content directly into the LMS: set up lesson containers, lessons, and content pages following approved Content Entry Docs
Document grading schemas per course, including category weights, pass thresholds, late policies, and rounding rules
Conduct first-pass QA using the Checklist, verifying date configurations, naming conventions, settings, link functionality, and formatting
Flag content that requires SME review, recreation, or workarounds (e.g., third-party materials, LMS-specific features that don't transfer)
* Upload and link slide decks and supporting resources into the Content Editor
What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated proficiency in structured data entry with a high degree of accuracy
Experience working within eLearning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or similar LMS)
Strong organizational skills and the ability to track detailed work across many parallel workstreams
Comfort with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) — this is our primary toolset
Ability to follow detailed process documentation and flag deviations or blockers proactively
A background in healthcare, education, or edtech is a plus but not required
Interview Process
Phone screening
Take home case
* Hiring Manager interview
The hourly rate range for this opportunity is $15-$17/hour. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations.

How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Data Entry
Transition toward data quality or data operations roles
Pure data entry positions face significant challenges meeting H-1B specialty occupation requirements. By developing skills in data validation, quality assurance, and database management, you can transition into data quality analyst or data operations roles that have much stronger visa sponsorship eligibility.
Target healthcare and legal data processing positions
Healthcare data entry roles involving medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), electronic medical records, and clinical data management often require specialized training. Similarly, legal data processing roles require knowledge of legal terminology and case management systems. These specialized contexts strengthen the case for a specialty occupation classification.
Learn database management and SQL
Adding SQL and database management skills to your data entry experience opens doors to data coordinator and database administrator roles. These positions involve data entry as one component but also require technical database skills that more clearly meet the specialty occupation threshold for H-1B sponsorship.
Consider employer-specific training programs
Some large employers like insurance companies and healthcare systems hire data entry professionals into roles that include structured training in proprietary systems and specialized data processing. These positions may offer paths to more technical roles within the organization, where visa sponsorship becomes more viable as your responsibilities grow.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Can I get H-1B sponsorship for a data entry role?
H-1B sponsorship for pure data entry roles is challenging because the position may not meet the specialty occupation requirement, which demands a bachelor's degree in a specific field as a minimum qualification. However, data entry roles that involve database management, data quality assurance, or specialized data processing in fields like healthcare or legal services may qualify if the employer can demonstrate the role requires specialized training and knowledge.
What alternative visa options exist for data entry professionals?
Beyond H-1B, consider roles that combine data entry with data analysis or database administration, which have stronger visa eligibility. L-1 visas may be available if a multinational employer transfers you from an overseas office. Some data entry professionals transition into data analyst or data quality specialist roles that have clearer sponsorship pathways.
How can I move from data entry into a sponsorship-eligible role?
Focus on building skills in SQL, Excel automation, and data quality management that elevate your role beyond basic data input. Positions like data quality analyst, database coordinator, or data operations specialist combine data entry experience with technical skills that better meet H-1B specialty occupation requirements. Pursuing a certificate in data analytics or database management can help bridge this gap.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Data Entry jobs?
When a U.S. employer sponsors a foreign worker for a work visa, they are legally required to pay at least the "prevailing wage" — the average wage paid to workers in the same occupation, in the same geographic area, with similar experience. This is set by the Department of Labor to prevent employers from hiring foreign workers at below-market rates. The prevailing wage varies significantly by role, location, and experience level — for example, a data entry in California will have a different prevailing wage than the same role in a smaller state. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search.
