Role Overview: This role involves architecting robust data flows, implementing ETL processes, and ensuring high performance and reliability across both batch and real-time data environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, document, and implement ETL processes and data flows to enable seamless access and utilization of data assets, supporting both batch and real-time streaming requirements.
- Enhance batch processing workflows to increase efficiency and optimize resource utilization, ensuring faster data throughput and improved reliability.
- Apply coding standards and conduct comprehensive unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Perform advanced performance tuning and query optimization, leveraging strong SQL and PL/SQL skills to maximize database efficiency and throughput.
- Collaborate effectively with distributed teams to deliver high-quality solutions within established project timelines.
Requirements: Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field is required. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Database Architecture and Design: Demonstrated strong knowledge of architectural database principles, frameworks, design patterns, and industry best practices for both the design and development of database solutions.
- Relational Database Development Experience: At least 12 years of hands-on development experience working with relational databases, preferably Oracle.
- Project Experience: A minimum of ten years of real project experience covering the design, development, testing, and production implementation of code within relational databases handling large volumes of structured data.
- Oracle Query and Performance Tuning: 5 or more years of experience focused on Oracle query and performance tuning.
- PL/SQL Programming: Extensive hands-on experience (at least ten years) with PL/SQL programming.
- Tools and Methodologies: Experience working with Git and Jira, as well as familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- ETL/ELT Workflow Design: Strong ability to design efficient and robust ETL/ELT workflows and schedulers.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Work Ethic: Ability to be self-driven and to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
