- Demonstrated experience leading architectural reviews, driving cross-functional design decisions, and building consensus across engineering and business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex architectural decisions for both technical peers and senior non-technical leaders.
- Comfort operating with high autonomy in a fast-paced, matrixed environment; strong bias toward action and outcome.

OUR APPROACH TO FLEXIBLE WORK
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email accommodations@workday.com.

Target employers with active LCA filings
Companies that have previously filed Labor Condition Applications for Enterprise Solutions roles are far more likely to sponsor again. This filing history signals an established immigration process and reduces the risk of an employer saying sponsorship is too complex.
Align your degree to the role description
H-1B specialty occupation approval depends on your degree matching the specific job. A business information systems or computer science degree strengthens your case. A general business degree alone may raise questions if the role is technical.
Understand the H-1B lottery timeline
H-1B registrations open in March for an October 1 start date. If you need sponsorship quickly and hold Australian citizenship, the E-3 visa bypasses the lottery entirely and can be obtained in weeks through a consulate interview.
Document your specialized knowledge clearly
Enterprise Solutions positions often involve complex software platforms like SAP or Salesforce. Certifications, implementation project experience, and technical documentation all strengthen the specialty occupation argument your employer's attorney will need to make.
Raise sponsorship early in the process
Bring up visa requirements before the offer stage, not after. Employers who are willing to sponsor need time to engage immigration counsel, file the LCA, and prepare the petition. Waiting until the offer letter creates unnecessary pressure and risk.
Know which visa fits your situation
Australian nationals have access to the E-3, which is faster and simpler than the H-1B for most employers. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under TN. All other nationalities typically rely on the H-1B, making lottery timing critical.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do Enterprise Solutions jobs qualify for H-1B visa sponsorship?
Most Enterprise Solutions roles qualify as H-1B visa specialty occupations, particularly those involving enterprise software implementation, solution architecture, or technical consulting. The key requirement is that the position normally demands a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as information systems, computer science, or business administration. Roles that accept any degree regardless of field may face additional scrutiny during USCIS adjudication.
What degree do I need for an Enterprise Solutions role to get sponsored?
A bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or a closely related field is typically what employers cite in H-1B petitions for Enterprise Solutions positions. The degree must align with the specific job duties. If your degree is in an unrelated field, your employer's attorney may need to document how your coursework and experience still satisfy the specialty occupation standard, which adds complexity to the petition.
How can I find Enterprise Solutions jobs that offer visa sponsorship?
Browse Enterprise Solutions roles on Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions open to visa sponsorship. Many employers posting there have established immigration processes and are familiar with H-1B, E-3 visa, and TN visa requirements. This saves significant time compared to identifying sponsorship-willing employers through general job searches where sponsorship policies are rarely disclosed upfront.
Are Australian nationals in Enterprise Solutions better off with the E-3 than the H-1B?
For most Australian nationals, the E-3 is the better starting point. There is no lottery, no annual cap issue in practice, and an employer can have you visa-ready within weeks of accepting an offer. The process requires a certified Labor Condition Application and a consulate interview in Australia. The E-3 is valid for two years with unlimited renewals, making it a stable long-term option while you establish yourself in the U.S. market.
What is the H-1B approval rate for Enterprise Solutions roles?
USCIS does not publish approval rates broken down by job title, but solution architect and enterprise consultant roles have historically performed well where the employer clearly documents the degree requirement. Approval rates across all H-1B petitions have exceeded 90% in recent fiscal years for initial cap-subject filings. The larger risk for this category is selection in the lottery, not denial after selection, since these roles generally meet the specialty occupation standard.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Enterprise Solutions jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
