You'll help PXT tell the data-driven story of where we've been, where we are, and where we need to go—while simultaneously building the AI-powered infrastructure that gets us there faster and more efficiently.
This is a great opportunity to be an owner in a fast-paced, growing environment, helping people to successfully join and thrive in our unique customer-centric culture.

How to Get Visa Sponsorship as a Human Resources Specialist
Target companies with international operations
Multinational corporations, consulting firms, and tech companies with global teams regularly sponsor HR specialists to handle visa programs, international relocations, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Highlight specialized HR systems experience
Experience with HRIS platforms like Workday, SuccessFactors, or BambooHR demonstrates specialized knowledge that supports H-1B qualification. Include specific modules you've managed like talent acquisition or compliance reporting.
Emphasize employment law and compliance expertise
Knowledge of U.S. employment law, FLSA regulations, or international labor standards shows the specialized expertise employers need. Include certifications like PHR, SHRM-CP, or employment law coursework.
Focus on talent acquisition and recruiting specialization
Technical recruiting, campus hiring programs, or diversity and inclusion initiatives require specialized knowledge. Highlight experience with applicant tracking systems, sourcing strategies, or university partnership programs.
Showcase data analytics and HR metrics experience
Experience with HR analytics, workforce planning models, or compensation analysis demonstrates quantitative skills that support specialty occupation requirements. Include specific tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or statistical software.
Position yourself for immigration-focused HR roles
Companies actively hiring international talent need HR specialists who understand visa processes, Form I-9 compliance, and immigration documentation. This creates natural sponsorship opportunities for qualified candidates.

Do HR Specialist positions qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
Yes, HR Specialist positions can qualify for H-1B when they require specialized knowledge in employment law, HRIS systems, talent acquisition, or compliance. The role must require a bachelor's degree in HR, business, psychology, or a related field. Generalist HR roles with broad responsibilities are more likely to qualify than entry-level administrative positions.
What degree do I need for H-1B sponsorship as an HR Specialist?
You typically need a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Some employers accept degrees in Communications, Sociology, or Industrial Relations. The key is demonstrating how your education directly relates to the specialized HR functions you'll perform, particularly in areas like employment law or organizational psychology.
Which companies are most likely to sponsor HR Specialists?
Multinational corporations, consulting firms like Deloitte or PwC, tech companies with global operations, and large healthcare systems frequently sponsor HR specialists. Companies expanding internationally or managing diverse visa programs for their workforce have the strongest business need for specialized HR expertise and immigration knowledge.
Can I get sponsored for other visa types besides H-1B as an HR Specialist?
Yes, depending on your nationality and qualifications. Australians can use the E-3 visa, Canadians and Mexicans can use TN status for management consultant roles, and those with advanced degrees may qualify for O-1 if they have extraordinary ability in HR or organizational development with significant recognition in the field.
What HR specializations have the best sponsorship chances?
Immigration compliance specialists, HRIS implementation consultants, talent acquisition specialists for technical roles, and compensation analysts have strong sponsorship prospects. These roles require specialized knowledge of complex systems, regulations, or analytical methods that clearly support H-1B specialty occupation requirements compared to general HR coordinator positions.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Human Resources Specialist jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
