In this unique setting, you’ll play a vital role in delivering essential oral health care to an underserved population—helping restore not just smiles, but dignity and wellness. YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Professionally clean teeth including prophies and scaling and root planing
- Presents instructions on proper personal oral hygiene
- Captures digital radiographs
- Administers topical fluoride
- Disinfects surfaces and dental equipment
- Sterilizes dental instruments according to OSHA regulations
- Takes thorough inventory of instruments through daily counts and logs
- Serve as Dental Assistant when needed
- Proper record keeping and maintenance both in manual and automated systems
- Ensure dental supplies are on hand and ordered in a timely manner
- Answer sick call requests and schedules patients in a timely manner
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved hygiene training program.
- Licensed to practice dental hygiene by the Texas Board of Dental Examiners.
