INTRODUCTION
HockeyStack is building the agent infrastructure for enterprise revenue. We spent five years building the only data architecture that preserves causality across the full revenue stack — every interaction, every signal, in sequence. On top of that foundation, we built Nex-lm, a purpose-built AI engine that compiles natural language into deterministic agent workflows. The result is a platform that can extract the revenue blueprint from a company's data, encode it into repeatable automations, and execute it across sales, marketing, and customer success — consistently, at scale.
We are not building a dashboard tool with an AI feature. We are building the operating layer that replaces the human bottleneck in enterprise revenue organizations. This is a category being defined right now, and we intend to own it.
We have raised $50M+ from Bessemer Venture Partners, General Catalyst, Y Combinator, and others.
We operate fully in-person in San Francisco. We move fast and we hire people who want to win.
Since launching late 2023, we have grown to 8-figures in ARR, process over 60 TB of revenue data monthly, and we are working with some of the largest B2B companies in the world like Microsoft, Harvey, New Relic, Collibra, etc.
YOUR MISSION
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Renewals Manager to take ownership of the SMB renewal book of business. In this role, you will build processes, manage the renewal pipeline, protect revenue, and identify accounts that are ready for growth. This is a high-volume, high-accountability position where you will be responsible for developing a scalable renewal strategy.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage and execute SMB renewals across a growing book of business, maintaining 90/60/30-day visibility.
- Accurately forecast renewal outcomes on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Evaluate account health across the entire portfolio and develop mitigation strategies for at-risk accounts.
- Build scalable renewal processes and oversee the end-to-end SFDC workflow.
- Collaborate with Support, RevOps, and Finance to manage the renewal lifecycle.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and multi-year agreements, including direct negotiations with procurement and legal teams.
- Track and report on renewal rates, churn, and expansion metrics.
- Serve as an escalation point for red-health accounts and route upsell-ready accounts to the appropriate AM.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of Sales Development Representative (SDR) experience, or at least 1 year in a Renewals Manager or similar customer-facing revenue role.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and performance targets.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain strong attention to detail, and ensure seamless execution.
- Highly proactive with a strong sense of urgency, anticipating challenges and addressing issues before they arise.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage procurement, legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM is required; familiarity with CPQ tools is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in a B2B SaaS environment is highly preferred.
WHY JOIN NOW?
We’re at an inflection point. The product is proven, the market is massive, and the opportunity is wide open. You’ll be joining a company with real traction, rapid growth, and meaningful backing—where every person still shapes the outcome. This isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to build something category-defining with people who care deeply about doing it right.
We’re building a high-performing, in-person culture at our San Francisco HQ, where the team collaborates shoulder-to-shoulder five days a week. The on target earnings range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000 USD, adjusted for location and qualifications.
HockeyStack is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status. We celebrate diversity and are committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all employees.

How to Get Visa Sponsorship as a Renewals Manager
Frame your degree as a hard requirement
USCIS approves Renewals Manager petitions when the job demonstrably requires a specific bachelor's degree field, business administration, finance, or a related discipline. Make sure your offer letter and job description reflect that requirement explicitly, not just as preferred.
Target industries with established sponsorship track records
Insurance carriers, SaaS companies, and financial services firms sponsor Renewals Managers most consistently. These industries process high renewal volumes that justify the role and have legal infrastructure already in place to handle work visa petitions efficiently.
Quantify your renewal portfolio in your resume
Sponsoring employers need to demonstrate the role is specialized. Metrics like contract value managed, renewal rates achieved, and portfolio size signal professional complexity and help distinguish your application from general account management roles that may not qualify.
Understand the LCA before your offer letter is signed
Your employer must file a Labor Condition Application certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing rate for your location and role. Confirm this step is part of their process before accepting an offer, it must be approved before your visa petition is filed.
Clarify whether the role is cap-subject or cap-exempt
Most Renewals Manager positions are cap-subject H-1B roles, meaning you need to clear the lottery. Nonprofits, universities, and government research organizations are cap-exempt, so targeting those employers lets you bypass the lottery entirely and start sooner.
Get your degree equivalency documented early
If your bachelor's degree is from outside the United States, a credential evaluation from a recognized agency strengthens your petition. Australian three-year degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree, but having the evaluation ready avoids delays.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does a Renewals Manager role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
It can, but the job description has to establish that a specific degree field is required, not just any bachelor's degree. Roles tied to insurance, SaaS subscription management, or financial services contracts tend to qualify when the employer documents that business, finance, or a related field is genuinely necessary to perform the job. Generic management roles where any degree suffices face higher USCIS scrutiny.
Which visa types are most commonly used to sponsor Renewals Managers?
H-1B is the most common path for nationals of most countries. Australian citizens can use the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is significantly easier to obtain. Canadian and Mexican citizens may qualify under the TN visa if the role fits an eligible USMCA category, though Renewals Manager is not always a clear TN fit and requires careful evaluation by an immigration attorney.
What degree field is typically required for Renewals Manager visa sponsorship?
Most successful H-1B petitions for this role cite degrees in business administration, finance, management, or a closely related field. The key is that the degree must be directly tied to the duties of the role, overseeing contract cycles, analyzing renewal metrics, and managing client retention strategies. A degree in an unrelated field, even if you have relevant experience, can complicate the petition.
How can I find employers who sponsor Renewals Manager roles?
Migrate Mate lists visa-sponsoring employers hiring for roles like Renewals Manager, filtered specifically for candidates who need sponsorship. Browsing there is more efficient than applying broadly, since the jobs are pre-screened for sponsorship willingness. You can also review OFLC disclosure data from the Department of Labor, which shows which companies have filed Labor Condition Applications for similar titles in the past.
Does prior approval of an H-1B for a similar role at another company help my petition?
Prior approval is a positive signal but does not guarantee approval with a new employer. USCIS evaluates each petition independently, and a new employer must file a new I-129 with its own supporting documentation. What helps is consistency, if your previous H-1B was approved for a Renewals Manager role, documenting how the new role has comparable duties and degree requirements strengthens the case for specialty occupation.
What is the prevailing wage requirement for sponsored Renewals Manager jobs?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
