Position Overview
We are seeking a Global Renewals Strategy & Programs Director to shape and operationalize the strategy, operating model, and transformation agenda for our global renewal business.
This leader will partner with the VP of Global Renewals and the Renewals Leadership Team to translate business priorities into a scalable global renewal model — connecting process, people, data, technology, and enablement to improve retention, growth, predictability, and seller effectiveness.
The role sits at the intersection of Renewals Sales, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, GTM Strategy & Operations, Finance, Marketing, Partners, and Technology. It is both a strategy and hands-on execution role: the Director designs the operating model and also runs the standing interlocks, cadences, and cross-functional coordination that keep Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations aligned on shared priorities — stepping in personally to coordinate resources and remove blockers on complex, strategically important initiatives rather than handing off process design to others.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Global Renewals leadership to translate business priorities into a clear strategy, operating model, and transformation roadmap
- Define and continuously evolve global renewal lifecycle milestones, workflows, engagement models, roles, and decision rights — in close partnership with Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations
- Establish differentiated renewal motions based on customer value, risk, growth potential, complexity, and cost-to-serve
- Identify structural barriers to renewal performance and develop recommendations spanning process, organization, data, technology, and enablement
- Drive global consistency while enabling appropriate flexibility across segments, geographies, and customer needs
- Serve as the primary liaison between Renewals, Sales, and Customer Success, establishing standardized handoffs and recurring interlocks that keep priorities aligned
- Establish a common framework for identifying, prioritizing, and managing renewal risk using customer health, adoption, engagement, commercial, and account signals — partnering with Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and Data Science to build and maintain those signals
- Define risk themes, intervention triggers, Save Plans, renewal plays, and signal-to-action workflows that enable earlier and more targeted intervention
- Partner with Renewals Sales, Finance, and Revenue Operations to operationalize commercial strategies including pricing, uplifts, discount governance, multi-year offers, and retention programs. Own field rollout and adoption tracking for these commercial programs, and measure their effectiveness in partnership with Revenue Operations.
- Define the intersection between renewal and expansion motions, including qualification criteria, ownership, engagement rules, and handoffs
- Build feedback loops that convert Sales and Customer Success insights into actionable guidance for both organizations, and measure the effectiveness of risk and commercial interventions
- Partner with Renewals Sales leadership and Revenue Operations to establish consistent forecasting principles, stages, definitions, and operating cadences
