ABOUT REVIVING ROOTS
Who we are
Reviving Roots Therapy & Wellness is a liberation-focused wellness community that offers Black-centered and Black-affirming mental wellness services. We provide holistic tools, services, space, and resources to guide the legacy of health and healing in the Black community.
Our vision is a world where Black folx embrace their boundless power in connection with themselves and others, their past, and their future.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The role
This is a full-time, community-based therapist position that blends in-house individual therapy at our Harmon Pl office with drop-in outreach across four Twin Cities community sites. The therapist provides diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, group facilitation, and ambient mental health presence to clients ages 12 and up — primarily older youth and adults — experiencing mental health concerns, communication challenges, and family or relational conflict.
This role works as part of an integrative wellness team, consulting weekly with case workers, program managers, and directors at our partner sites. Two scheduling options are offered at the time of offer so you can choose a weekly rhythm that fits your life — both carry the same clinical load (~38–40 hours/week).
HOW THE WEEK IS SHAPED
What you’ll be doing each week
10 in-house sessions
Individual therapy, up to 55 minutes each, at our Harmon Pl office. Capped at 4 in a row.
20 drop-in outreach hrs
Ambient presence at 4 partner community sites, ~5 hours each. Notes can be done in the room when flow is quiet.
1 group facilitation
A weekly in-house group, 2 hours.
2 staff meetings
Monday Case Consult (10–11am) and Service Coordinator Meeting (3–4pm).
Monthly book club
Clinical book club for the team — first Monday of every month, 12–1pm.
Quarterly trainings
Staff trainings each quarter — paid time, scheduled in advance.
Schedule choice
Two scheduling options to choose from at offer (full weekend off vs. lighter weekdays). Provided as a separate document.
On travel: driving between the Harmon Pl office and a drop-in site during your workday is paid work time. Getting to and from work is your own time — same expectation as any staff role here.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a skilled, liberation-focused mental health therapist who has knowledge and expertise in:
- Trauma healing
- Relational cultural theory
- Liberation-focused therapy
- Community-based and outreach mental health work
More than a clinical skillset, we’re looking for a therapist who:
- Desires to provide top-notch service and has a deep passion for guiding the healing of the Black community
- Thrives as part of an integrative wellness team and is comfortable consulting with case workers, program managers, and directors at partner sites
- Holds steady presence in spaces where the flow is unpredictable — drop-in outreach is ambient work and looks different from a private practice caseload
- Is highly motivated by the organization’s impact on clients and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- Is a self-driven self-starter who is reliable and comfortable with shifting priorities
- Excels in communication with clients, visitors, vendors, partners, and the team while maintaining strict confidentiality in line with HIPAA standards
- Is comfortable with social media and online tools, and open to creating regular online video and digital wellness content
Black-identifying therapists with knowledge of and training toward liberatory healing practices are strongly encouraged to apply.
REQUIREMENTS
What you’ll need to bring
- Relevant license and/or certification — or license/certification eligible — as a Mental Health provider as required in the State of Minnesota (Psychologist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor / LPCC, Licensed Clinical Social Worker / LCSW, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist / LMFT)
- Approximately three (3) years of experience in a healthcare environment in a patient/client contact role
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, GSuite, Calendly, Canva, and Valant (or a comparable EHR)
- Reliable transportation between the Harmon Pl office and drop-in sites across the Twin Cities metro
- Experience working with diverse population bases is preferred
A note on licensure
We have a strong preference for fully licensed LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW. Pre-licensed therapists may be considered, and Reviving Roots is able to provide supervision toward pre-LPCC, LAMFT, and MFT Track licensure. Pre-licensed therapists complete weekly clinical supervision with us; fully licensed therapists meet with us monthly for check-ins. More information available at the time of interview.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will
- Assess and diagnose clients experiencing symptoms of psychological distress
- Provide individual psychotherapy to clients ages 12 and up — primarily older youth and adults — at our Harmon Pl office (10 sessions/week, up to 55 minutes each)
- Hold ambient drop-in outreach hours at four partner community sites (~20 hours/week total), offering presence, support, brief intervention, and warm referrals
- Develop and facilitate one weekly in-house therapy or psycho-education group (2 hours)
- Talk with clients about their experiences, emotions, and thoughts, and work alongside them to identify situations, behaviors, and thoughts that interfere with their wellness and recovery
- Refer clients to other health professionals and community resources, including social services, job services, and support groups
- Properly document sessions, drop-in interactions, and client communications in Valant (our EHR)
- Consult weekly with case workers, program managers, and directors at partner sites and on internal staff
- Develop and facilitate community connection and psycho-education offerings
- Create regular online video and digital wellness content
- Demonstrate strong client service and communication skills, and appropriately handle confrontation and conflict
Pay: $61,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Professional development assistance

Account Based Marketing Specialist Jobs in Minneapolis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a account based marketing specialist job in Minneapolis?
Focus your search on Minneapolis's dense cluster of B2B software, medtech, and financial services companies, where ABM programs are most active. The North Loop and Downtown corridors house many of the regional headquarters and mid-market firms doing serious account-based work. Candidates who can show measurable pipeline influence, experience with intent data platforms, and familiarity with enterprise sales cycles tend to stand out in this market.
Which companies hire account based marketing specialists in Minneapolis?
Companies currently hiring account based marketing specialists in Minneapolis include Washburn Center for Children, Horizon Bridge, and TIAA, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Minneapolis draws a mix of publicly traded corporate headquarters and fast-growing B2B technology firms, both of which rely heavily on account-based strategies to reach enterprise buyers.
Are there remote account based marketing specialist jobs in Minneapolis?
Yes, account based marketing specialist work is well-suited to remote and hybrid arrangements since the role is largely digital, data-driven, and coordinated through CRM and marketing automation platforms. About 33% of account based marketing specialist openings tied to Minneapolis are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how companies here have adapted post-pandemic. Campaign strategy, content development, and analytics work are most commonly done off-site, while sales alignment meetings often draw people into the office.
How can I get a account based marketing specialist job in Minneapolis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Minneapolis is through a demand generation coordinator or marketing operations associate role at one of the city's many B2B technology or medtech companies, where ABM programs are structured enough to train junior talent.
