Account Project Manager Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account project manager in Vermont?
Most Vermont employers require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, project management, or a closely related field as the foundation for this role. No state-issued license applies to account project managers in Vermont, but earning a Project Management Professional or Certified Associate in Project Management credential through the Project Management Institute significantly strengthens candidacy. Gaining experience in client services, account coordination, or operations within Vermont's financial services, healthcare, or technology sectors is the most direct path into the role.
How much do account project managers make in Vermont?
Account project managers in Vermont earn a median of about $80,800 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $61,950 for the lowest 10% to over $128,110 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account project managers in Vermont?
Employers hiring account project managers in Vermont right now include CVS Health, Toast, and State Farm, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's financial services and healthcare administration sectors, anchored by institutions like National Life Group and UVM Health Network, generate some of the most consistent openings for this role statewide.
Which Vermont cities have the most account project manager jobs?
Burlington, Colchester, and Montpelier have the most account project manager openings in Vermont. Burlington's concentration of technology firms, financial services companies, and the UVM Health Network system drives the bulk of demand, while Montpelier and South Burlington benefit from state government contractors and regional insurance and consulting offices that regularly need client-facing project management talent.
Are there remote account project manager jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 26% of account project manager openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and communication-heavy nature of the work. Client reporting, account planning, and internal coordination tasks are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely, while onboarding new clients and quarterly business reviews tend to require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a account project manager in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into an account coordinator or project administrator role, which Vermont employers in healthcare and financial services regularly fill with candidates who hold a relevant degree but limited direct experience. UVM Health Network and National Life Group both bring on associates through rotational or onboarding programs that expose candidates to account and project workflows. Building proficiency in a project management platform and pursuing a CAPM certification before applying gives candidates from adjacent roles like customer service, operations coordinator, or marketing associate a concrete edge in Vermont's competitive hiring pools.
