Customer Program Manager Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer program manager in Vermont?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field combined with experience in account management, customer success, or project coordination. Vermont has no state-issued license for this role, so hiring decisions hinge on demonstrated client management experience and familiarity with program delivery frameworks. Earning a PMP certification through the Project Management Institute strengthens applications at Vermont employers that run structured implementation programs, particularly in technology and financial services.
Which companies hire customer program managers in Vermont?
Companies currently hiring customer program managers in Vermont include Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, AmeriVet Veterinary Partners, and U-Haul, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's mid-size technology and healthcare sectors mean many openings come from regional employers with tight client portfolios rather than large national call centers.
Which Vermont cities have the most customer program manager jobs?
Vermont, Barre, and Berlin have the most customer program manager openings in Vermont. Burlington drives the largest share because it is home to the state's densest concentration of technology firms, financial services companies, and regional headquarters, while South Burlington and Montpelier generate openings through state government contractors and healthcare organizations anchored in those communities.
Are there remote customer program manager jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than most fields, because customer program management is primarily a communications and coordination role that travels well to remote environments. About 50% of customer program manager openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed the client base for Vermont-headquartered technology and financial services firms tends to be. Client onboarding and escalation calls are the functions most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a customer program manager in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a customer success associate or account coordinator role at one of Vermont's technology or financial services firms, where responsibilities overlap significantly with program management. Employers such as those in Burlington's tech corridor regularly post associate-level openings that serve as direct feeders to program manager tracks. Building experience in a related role such as project coordinator, client support specialist, or implementation analyst, and pairing it with a CAPM or Salesforce certification, gives candidates a meaningful edge when moving into a full program manager title.
Where can I find and apply to customer program manager jobs in Vermont?
You can find and apply to customer program manager jobs in Vermont on Migrate Mate, which lists current Vermont openings across industries. Search the listings to find roles that match your background and apply directly to the ones that fit your experience and preferred location.
