Entry Level Actuarial Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level actuarial analyst job?
Passing at least one or two actuarial exams before applying is the single strongest signal at the entry level, since most employers use exam progress as a proxy for technical readiness. Internship experience, coursework in statistics or mathematics, and proficiency in Excel or R can all sharpen a candidacy. Targeting employers in insurance, consulting, and financial services gives new candidates the widest pool of openings that explicitly welcome limited experience.
Which companies hire entry level actuarial analysts?
Companies hiring entry level actuarial analysts right now include Kuvare Holdings, Independence Blue Cross, and Sagesure Capital Holdings, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers large insurance carriers, regional benefits consultancies, and financial services firms that run structured actuarial development programs designed to bring in candidates early and grow them internally.
Are there remote entry level actuarial analyst jobs?
Yes, though most openings at this level are on-site or hybrid. About 30% of entry level actuarial analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting employer preference for in-office mentorship during a candidate's first years. Filtering by work setting on Migrate Mate makes it easy to find which openings match your location flexibility.
Are these new grad actuarial analyst jobs?
Yes, the openings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior actuarial analyst roles alongside other entry level listings. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it requires zero to two years of experience, welcomes candidates still working through actuarial exams, or explicitly accepts internship work in place of full-time history. Internship experience and a completed capstone project can be enough to meet the bar.
Which industries hire the most entry level actuarial analysts?
Entry Level actuarial analyst roles concentrate in Insurance, Consulting & Professional Services, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely heavily on risk modeling, pricing analysis, and reserve calculations that suit candidates who are early in their exam progression but strong in quantitative coursework.
