Entry Level Hse Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level hse manager job?
Entry level hse manager employers typically look for a degree in occupational health, environmental science, or a related field, along with any internship, co-op, or volunteer safety experience. Certifications like OSHA 10 or 30 give candidates a real edge at this stage. Highlighting specific projects where you identified hazards, wrote safety plans, or supported compliance audits signals practical readiness even without years of full-time experience.
Which companies hire entry level hse managers?
Companies hiring entry level hse managers right now include Sundt Construction, RailWorks Corporation, and DHL, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Manufacturing, construction, logistics, and energy firms tend to recruit at this level consistently, often onboarding new grads into structured safety programs alongside experienced teams.
Are there remote entry level hse manager jobs?
Yes, though most entry level hse manager roles are on-site given the hands-on nature of safety work. About 28% of entry level hse manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve compliance documentation, reporting, or environmental program coordination rather than direct field inspections.
Are these new grad hse manager jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior hse manager roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or co-op work in lieu of full-time history, or mentions a degree as the primary qualification. Many entry level openings specifically encourage new grads to apply and provide on-the-job training.
Which industries hire the most entry level hse managers?
Entry Level hse manager roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Transportation & Logistics, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors carry significant regulatory and liability obligations around worker safety and environmental compliance, which drives consistent demand for junior safety professionals who can support inspections, recordkeeping, and OSHA reporting from day one.
