Entry Level Field Application Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level field application specialist job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for hands-on familiarity with scientific instruments, lab techniques, or technical hardware, depending on the industry. A capstone project, undergraduate research role, or internship where you supported product demonstrations or customer training carries real weight. Tailoring your resume to show troubleshooting experience, customer-facing communication, and any product-specific certifications gives you a clear edge over candidates with generic technical backgrounds.
Which companies hire entry level field application specialists?
Companies hiring entry level field application specialists right now include Thermo Fisher Scientific, Siemens, and HemWell MD, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from life sciences instrument makers, medical device companies, and industrial equipment manufacturers that build structured onboarding programs for new graduates stepping into customer-facing technical roles.
Are there remote entry level field application specialist jobs?
Yes, though most roles at this level are on-site or travel-based given the hands-on nature of the work. About 28% of entry level field application specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve product training delivery, virtual customer support, or internal application support rather than direct field demonstrations.
Are these new grad field application specialist jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior field application specialist roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or co-op work as qualifying background, or explicitly invites candidates to apply with a portfolio or academic project in place of professional experience. Look for language like 'entry level,' 'new graduate,' or 'will train' in the job description.
Which industries hire the most entry level field application specialists?
Entry Level field application specialist roles concentrate in Science & Research, Electronics & Hardware, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on technically trained specialists to support product adoption, run application demonstrations, and provide post-sale customer training, making new graduates with relevant lab or product exposure strong candidates.
