Entry Level Advertising Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level advertising job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for a portfolio of real or spec work, internship experience, and familiarity with ad platforms and creative tools. Candidates who can show campaign concepts, copywriting samples, or media planning work stand out. Applying to agencies, brands, and media companies simultaneously gives you the broadest exposure to where junior openings appear.
Which companies hire entry level advertisings?
Companies hiring entry level advertisings right now include Spectrum, Power Digital Marketing, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Both independent agencies and in-house brand teams actively recruit at this level, alongside media companies and digital marketing firms looking to build out junior talent pipelines.
Are there remote entry level advertising jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles are still common at this stage. About 67% of entry level advertising openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so flexible options exist alongside in-office positions. Many agencies prefer junior hires to work on-site early in their careers for mentorship and team collaboration reasons.
Are these new grad advertising jobs?
Yes, these include new grad, recent graduate, and junior advertising roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship work or freelance projects in place of full-time history, or explicitly asks for a portfolio rather than a long resume. Applying to roles labeled junior or assistant is the most direct path for new grads entering advertising.
Which industries hire the most entry level advertisings?
Entry Level advertising roles concentrate in Retail, Technology & Software, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely heavily on campaign output, brand presence, and media spend that requires consistent junior support across creative, account, and media planning functions.
