Senior Level Agency Sales Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level agency sales manager job?
Employers hiring at the senior level look for candidates who have owned a revenue number, not just contributed to one. Demonstrating a history of growing client accounts, leading pitches independently, and coaching junior staff signals readiness. Tailoring your application to show strategic impact, such as expanding a book of business or entering a new vertical, gives you a measurable edge over candidates with similar tenure.
Which companies hire senior level agency sales managers?
Companies hiring senior level agency sales managers right now include EVERSANA, Taboola, and BNY, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from mid-size and enterprise agencies, regional insurance carriers, and financial services firms that need experienced leaders to drive and protect high-value client relationships.
Are there remote senior level agency sales manager jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and client territory requirements. About 32% of senior level agency sales manager openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting growing flexibility even in client-facing sales roles. Many employers combine remote work arrangements with occasional in-person client meetings or regional travel, so reviewing each listing's location terms closely is important.
What makes an agency sales manager role senior level?
Senior level agency sales manager roles are defined by ownership and accountability rather than execution alone. At this stage, you are expected to set sales strategy for a territory or product line, manage complex client relationships independently, and mentor or lead a team of sales professionals. The scope expands from closing individual accounts to building systems, developing talent, and influencing how the agency grows.
Which industries hire the most senior level agency sales managers?
Senior level agency sales manager roles concentrate in Marketing & Advertising, Technology & Software, and Science & Research, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on experienced sales leadership to manage large policy books, complex client portfolios, or competitive regional markets where retaining and growing accounts requires significant industry expertise.
