AI Program Manager Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a ai program manager in Utah?
There is no state-issued license required to work as an ai program manager in Utah. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, data science, or engineering, combined with hands-on experience managing AI or software programs. Earning a PMP credential through PMI strengthens your candidacy significantly with Utah's defense and enterprise tech employers. Professionals who build portfolios around delivered AI initiatives and cross-functional program leadership move through hiring processes faster in this market.
Which companies hire ai program managers in Utah?
Companies currently hiring ai program managers in Utah include Atonom, University of Utah, and CVS Health, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Utah's mix of enterprise software firms, defense contractors, and growing fintech companies creates consistent demand for program managers who can operate at the intersection of AI delivery and organizational strategy.
Which Utah cities have the most ai program manager jobs?
Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Provo lead Utah for ai program manager openings. Salt Lake City anchors demand through its enterprise tech and healthcare AI employers, while Provo and Lehi benefit from the dense concentration of software companies and tech startups along the Wasatch Front corridor, which has attracted major corporate campuses that consistently staff program management functions.
Are there remote ai program manager jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 48% of ai program manager openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and collaborative nature of the role. Strategic planning, stakeholder communication, and roadmap development are the functions most commonly performed fully remote, while roles involving embedded team management or hardware-adjacent AI programs tend to require some on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a ai program manager in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is transitioning from a technical project coordinator or business analyst role within a Utah tech or defense company, where you can demonstrate early ownership of AI-adjacent workstreams. Adobe, Instructure, and similar Salt Lake City-based employers regularly hire associate program managers from internal transfers and new-grad pipelines. Building a portfolio that documents a delivered technical initiative, even a small one, alongside a PMP or Google Project Management Certificate, meaningfully separates candidates without formal ai program manager titles from the competition.
Where can I find and apply to ai program manager jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to ai program manager jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings across the technology, defense, and financial services sectors. Find roles that match your experience level and location preference, then apply directly to each employer through the listing.
