Analytics Manager Jobs in Ohio: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a analytics manager in Ohio?
Becoming an analytics manager in Ohio typically starts with a bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, business analytics, or a closely related field, followed by several years of hands-on analyst work. No state-issued license is required for this role in Ohio. Ohio employers strongly favor candidates who have progressed through individual contributor analytics roles, built proficiency in tools like SQL and Tableau, and can demonstrate project leadership or team oversight experience.
Which companies hire analytics managers in Ohio?
Employers hiring analytics managers in Ohio right now include Procter & Gamble, Northwest Bank, and 3E, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Ohio's concentration of insurance, financial services, and retail headquarters means many of these openings sit within large, established corporate analytics teams rather than startups.
Which Ohio cities have the most analytics manager jobs?
Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland account for the largest share of analytics manager openings in Ohio. Columbus leads because of its dense cluster of insurance, retail, and financial services headquarters, while Cleveland's healthcare systems and manufacturing firms drive steady hiring, and Cincinnati's consumer goods and logistics companies round out the major demand centers.
Are there remote analytics manager jobs in Ohio?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 64% of analytics manager openings tied to Ohio are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally suited the role is to distributed work. Responsibilities focused on dashboard development, reporting, and data modeling are most commonly performed remotely, while roles requiring frequent executive presentations or cross-functional workshop facilitation tend to expect more in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a analytics manager in Ohio with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving up from a data analyst or business analyst role within an Ohio company that promotes from within, such as those in Columbus's insurance sector or Cleveland's healthcare systems. Building a portfolio of self-directed projects using public datasets and earning credentials like the Google Data Analytics Certificate or a Microsoft Power BI certification strengthens a candidate's profile. Applying for rotational analyst programs at larger Ohio employers is another concrete avenue for those newer to the field.
Where can I find and apply to analytics manager jobs in Ohio?
