Assistant Project Manager Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an assistant project manager job in Dallas?
Focus your search on Dallas's busiest hiring sectors: commercial construction along the Stemmons Corridor, healthcare systems in the Medical District, and technology firms in Uptown and Legacy West. Employers in these areas favor candidates with hands-on coordination experience, proficiency in project management tools like Procore or Microsoft Project, and familiarity with fast-paced, multi-site environments. Networking through local chapters of PMI Dallas gives candidates a real edge.
Which companies hire assistant project managers in Dallas?
Employers hiring assistant project managers in Dallas right now include Quanta Services, Quanta Infrastructure Solutions, and CRB, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Dallas draws a wide mix of large general contractors, regional healthcare networks, and corporate real estate teams, all of which maintain steady demand for assistant project management support.
Are there remote assistant project manager jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the industry, since construction and field-based roles require on-site presence while technology and corporate operations roles are more flexible. About 8% of assistant project manager openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the most remote options found in technology, professional services, and corporate program management teams headquartered in Uptown and Legacy West.
How can I get an assistant project manager job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is through coordinator or project administrator roles at mid-size commercial construction firms or healthcare systems, which regularly hire candidates without a PMP certification. Dallas employers such as regional general contractors and hospital networks value internship experience, familiarity with scheduling software, and any exposure to budgets or vendor coordination. Volunteering with PMI Dallas and completing a CAPM certification significantly strengthen an entry-level application in this market.
Which industries hire the most assistant project managers in Dallas?
Dallas assistant project manager roles concentrate in Construction & Real Estate and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Dallas's sustained commercial construction boom, major hospital expansions, and the continued growth of corporate headquarters relocating to North Texas all drive consistent demand for project management support across these sectors.
