Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Client Engagement Attorney (CEA) to join our legal team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, Family Law Client Engagement Attorney (CEA)
Vasquez de Lara Law Group | Remote | Full-Time
Florida Bar License Required
Job Description
Vasquez de Lara Law Group is seeking an experienced Client Engagement Attorney (CEA) to join our team and play a key role in helping prospective clients understand their legal options and determine whether our firm is the right fit for their needs. Reporting directly to the COO, the CEA will serve as a trusted resource for prospective clients throughout the consultation and engagement process. This is a sales position, and no legal work will be required.
This position combines legal knowledge, client service, and business development. The Client Engagement Attorney is responsible for conducting consultations with prospective clients and converting qualified prospects into signed engagements.
Using a strong understanding of Florida family law, the CEA guides prospective clients through their options with empathy, professionalism, and genuine curiosity. The goal is to fully understand each prospective client's circumstances, identify the appropriate path forward, and clearly communicate the value of working with our firm.
The CEA works through two primary consultation channels: scheduled paid consultations and Discovery Sessions already in progress where the Client Solutions team determines that attorney involvement is needed to help the prospective client move forward.
Consultations are conducted primarily by video conference, with some telephone consultations, all sales calls are recorded, and performance is monitored for improvement.
The Client Engagement Attorney will also support newly retained clients during their first 30 days with the firm, helping create a seamless transition from engagement into case production.
Compensation
$80,000 base salary + quarterly performance incentives
On-target earnings (OTE) are approximately $175,000 annually at expected performance.
Quarterly incentives are based on new client engagements above the firm's established performance baseline. There is no cap on incentive earnings, allowing high-performing attorneys to continue earning based on additional engagements.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled paid consultations with prospective clients to determine whether the firm and client are a good fit.
- Join Discovery Sessions when requested by the Client Solutions team to provide attorney guidance and assist with converting qualified prospects.
- Manage the intake qualification process and confirm prospective clients meet the firm's engagement criteria.
- Use knowledge of Florida family law to explain legal options and guide prospective clients toward the appropriate next steps.
- Clearly communicate the value of the firm's legal services and client experience.
- Provide engagement documentation and assist prospective clients with completing their initial retainer payment.
- Follow up with prospective clients to answer questions, address concerns, and support the engagement process.
- Maintain communication with newly retained clients during their first 30 days with the firm.
- Ensure a smooth transition of newly retained clients into case production.
- Conduct outreach to former clients to identify potential repeat engagement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of consultations, follow-ups, and engagement activity.
- Work collaboratively with the Client Solutions, Intake, and Legal teams to improve the client experience and conversion process.

- Florida Bar License in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of Family Law experience.
- Direct experience conducting client consultations required.

Attorney Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a attorney job in Miami?
Focus your search on Brickell and Downtown Miami, where law firms and corporate legal departments cluster most heavily. International trade, real estate, and maritime law are especially active in this market, so experience or coursework in those areas gives you an edge. Fluency in Spanish is a genuine differentiator with many Miami employers, particularly at firms serving Latin American clients.
Which companies hire attorneys in Miami?
Miami attorney roles are posted by Jobot, Goldberg Segalla LLP, and Elderly Care Law Firm and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring comes from a wide mix of large regional law firms, multinational corporations with Latin American headquarters, financial institutions in Brickell, and government agencies concentrated in the downtown civic center.
Are there remote attorney jobs in Miami?
Yes, though attorney roles are less remote-friendly than many desk jobs given court appearances, client meetings, and document handling requirements. About 44% of attorney openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with hybrid arrangements more common than fully remote. Contract review, compliance, and transactional work tend to be the most flexible for remote scheduling in Miami.
How can I get a attorney job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is a law clerk or judicial extern position, with the Eleventh Judicial Circuit and federal courts in the Southern District of Florida regularly taking candidates. Miami's strong real estate and trade sectors also hire entry-level associates, and smaller boutique firms in Coral Gables and Coconut Grove often offer more hands-on responsibility early. Building relationships through the Cuban American Bar Association or the Dade County Bar Association opens doors locally.
Which industries hire the most attorneys in Miami?
Most attorney openings in Miami sit in Staffing & Recruiting, Law & Legal Services, and Insurance, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Miami's position as a gateway city for Latin American commerce drives outsized demand in those sectors, sustaining a legal market that punches above its size relative to other Florida cities.
