This position reports to:
Automation Support Lead
Your role
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the plant’s expanding automation efforts, at the US Motion Headquarters, in New Berlin, WI, ensuring a positive impact to safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals on 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation – Assist with the deployment, install, and programming of Vision Systems, SCADA, PLC Controls, Conveyor Automation, Digital Torque Systems, Robotics, and more.
- Data & Systems Engineering / Architecture – This position will help to deploy a plant-wide SCADA network to provide connectivity & control to field devices.
- Mechanical – This role will need a foundation in mechanical engineering to support the install of various automation equipment on to the production line.
- Safety / Quality – Contribute towards the create of safe automation practices while also delivering the desired productivity and quality output.
- Project Management – This role will be fast-paced and involve balancing tasks from multiple projects simultaneously. Time management and prioritization will crucial.
- Lean – This role will be responsible for promoting lean manufacturing concepts to ensure efficient production practices.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in the field of Controls, Systems, Automation and/or Mechanical (Manufacturing, Automotive, Etc.)
- Sound knowledge of Vision systems, digital torque systems, programmable logic controls, robotics, and other automation.
- Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, self-motivated, customer oriented, multi-tasking, having stress management capability.
- Associates degree in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering/science field is preferred.
