Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Repair and replace mechanical systems including transmissions, powertrains, brakes, shocks & struts, and diesel engines with precision and efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs and mechanical system overhauls.
- Work with modern ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology to calibrate sensors and ensure driver safety features are functioning correctly.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and auto estimating software to ensure accurate repairs aligned with manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and communicate clearly with customers about repairs needed and completed work.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership or independent shop settings.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, mechanical systems repair, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, diesel engine repair, transmission repair, and heavy equipment mechanics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software, schematics reading, powertrain diagnostics, and auto estimating tools.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair instruments.
- Valid certification or licensing related to automotive repair; ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while managing multiple repair tasks effectively.
