Bookkeeper Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a bookkeeper job in Miami?
Target the sectors that drive Miami's economy: real estate development, hospitality and hotel groups, import-export and logistics firms, and wealth management offices in Brickell. Fluency in Spanish is a genuine edge with many local employers, especially in Doral and Little Havana. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, multi-entity accounts, or foreign currency transactions makes candidates stand out in this market.
Which companies hire bookkeepers in Miami?
Miami bookkeeper roles are posted by Lennar, TaxLeaf, and SLS and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Miami's employer mix skews toward privately held real estate groups, Latin American regional headquarters, and mid-size hospitality operators rather than large public corporations.
Are there remote bookkeeper jobs in Miami?
Yes, though bookkeeper roles tied to physical operations like hotels, restaurants, or warehouses tend to require on-site presence. About 41% of bookkeeper openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with remote work most common in roles supporting software firms, professional services, and back-office functions for multi-location businesses headquartered outside Florida.
How can I get a bookkeeper job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through accounts payable or receivable clerk roles at Miami's large hospitality groups, property management companies, or logistics firms, where volume is high and turnover creates openings. Miami Dade College's accounting certificate programs are recognized locally. Bilingual candidates with even basic bookkeeping coursework find a shorter path in firms serving Latin American clients across Brickell and Coral Gables.
