Senior Level Business Development Executive Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level business development executive job?
Employers hiring at this level want candidates who have owned revenue targets, not just contributed to them. A strong application demonstrates that you have led deal cycles from origination to close, built or managed a team, and shaped go-to-market strategy rather than executed someone else's playbook. Quantifying the pipeline value or partnership outcomes you have driven directly gives hiring managers the clearest signal that you are ready to operate at this scope.
Which companies hire senior level business development executives?
Companies hiring senior level business development executives right now include JPMorganChase, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and Amazon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from growth-stage technology firms, enterprise software companies, management consultancies, and established corporations expanding into new markets or verticals.
Are there remote senior level business development executive jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by industry and role scope. About 25% of senior level business development executive openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how many organizations have restructured their sales and partnerships leadership to accommodate distributed teams. Roles that require significant client entertainment, executive relationship management, or on-site sales leadership tend to retain in-person requirements more often.
What makes a business development executive role senior level?
Senior level roles are defined by ownership and scope rather than task execution. A senior business development executive sets the strategy for how the organization pursues new markets or partnerships, holds accountability for meaningful revenue or growth targets, and typically leads or mentors a team of junior contributors. These roles require the judgment to prioritize opportunities, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and make decisions without close supervision.
Which industries hire the most senior level business development executives?
Senior level business development executive roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Fintech, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because their growth models depend on strategic partnerships, enterprise sales cycles, and the sustained relationship-building that only experienced professionals can lead effectively.
