How do I get a business development job in Colorado Springs?

Candidates who can show experience managing government contracts, federal sales cycles, or B2B partnerships in regulated industries stand out. Attending Colorado Springs tech and defense networking events also builds visibility with local hiring managers.
Which companies hire business developments in Colorado Springs?
Companies currently hiring business developments in Colorado Springs include HDR, USfalcon, and Learfield, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado Springs draws a mix of large defense primes, mid-size cybersecurity and space tech firms, and regional healthcare and financial services companies, all of which maintain dedicated business development teams.
Are there remote business development jobs in Colorado Springs?
Yes, though most senior business development roles in Colorado Springs involve in-person client and government relationship management, making full remote less common than in purely analytical fields. About 100% of business development openings tied to Colorado Springs are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common in technology and SaaS-focused companies. Market research, proposal writing, and pipeline reporting are the functions most often handled remotely.
How can I get a business development job in Colorado Springs with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Colorado Springs is through business development representative or sales development representative roles at the city's growing cybersecurity and space tech startups in Briargate and downtown, which routinely hire candidates with strong communication skills over deep experience. Internships with defense contractors near Peterson Space Force Base also convert frequently to full-time BD analyst positions. A working knowledge of government procurement basics gives entry-level candidates a clear edge in Colorado Springs's contractor-heavy market.
