Arbill is hiring a proven sales rainmaker who is experienced in the safety distribution and safety value added services to hunt and close large, multi-site industrial accounts. We are not looking for an account caretaker or someone who needs a training playbook. You know the industrial safety and PPE landscape inside out, you control your own network, and you have the fuel in the tank to prospect relentlessly, travel heavily, and close complex commercial enterprise deals.
What You Will Do
- Hunt & Build: Generate your own high-value pipeline from scratch; target VP of Safety/EHS, Operations, and Procurement decision-makers at mid-to-enterprise manufacturing, commercial, industrial, and other vertical accounts.
- Sell Comprehensive Solutions: Package and sell full-scope safety programs including PPE, industrial vending solutions, prescription safety eyewear (Rx), and managed safety services/EHS consulting.
- Quarterback Major Deals: Lead end-to-end RFP/RFQ bids, margin negotiations, and executive presentations to secure multi-year agreements.
- Road Warrior Activity: Travel regularly to conduct on-site walk-throughs, safety assessments, and face-to-face closing meetings.
- Proven Safety Distribution Track Record: 5–7+ years of quota-crushing outbound enterprise sales experience specifically in PPE/ industrial safety distribution.
- True Self-Starter Autonomy: Deep domain fluency and supplier/manufacturer familiarity; you hit the ground running with zero ramp-up hand-holding.
- Rolodex & Hustle: Demonstrated track record of winning net-new logos, managing long B2B enterprise cycles, and maintaining high activity.
- Willingness to Travel: High energy and stamina for extensive regional and national travel.

Business Development Jobs in Philadelphia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business development job in Philadelphia?
The clearest path into Philadelphia business development is targeting the city's dominant sectors: health systems, life sciences, financial services, and professional services firms anchored in Center City. Candidates who can point to consultative sales experience, existing relationships in the Philadelphia market, or familiarity with the healthcare or biopharma ecosystem stand out. Networking through local groups like the Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies gives a real edge over applicants with no local ties.
Which companies hire business developments in Philadelphia?
Companies currently hiring business developments in Philadelphia include Hill International, Skilled Wound Care, and Cornerstone Caregiving, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Philadelphia's hiring mix leans toward large health systems, insurance and financial firms, logistics companies, and mid-size professional services consultancies based in and around Center City.
Are there remote business development jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, though many business development roles require in-person client work, making fully remote positions less common than in purely analytical fields. About 58% of business development openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid arrangements most prevalent among SaaS, fintech, and professional services employers. Account management and inside sales components of business development tend to be the most remote-friendly parts of the role.
How can I get a business development job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Philadelphia is a sales development representative or business development representative role at one of the city's growing SaaS, healthcare technology, or professional services firms. Companies in the University City innovation corridor and Navy Yard frequently hire early-career candidates into structured development programs. Internships with Philadelphia health systems or financial services firms also convert into full-time business development roles at a higher rate than cold applications.
