Business Operations Manager Jobs in Charlotte: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business operations manager job in Charlotte?
Focus your search on Charlotte's strongest hiring sectors: banking and financial services anchored in Uptown, health systems based in the Midtown and SouthPark corridors, and supply chain and logistics companies concentrated in the I-85 and I-77 corridors. Candidates who combine process improvement credentials such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma with direct experience in one of these industries move to the front of the line in Charlotte's competitive market.
Which companies hire business operations managers in Charlotte?
Companies currently hiring business operations managers in Charlotte include Information Technology Senior Management Forum, Truist, and Xylem, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Charlotte's employer base is particularly strong in large financial institutions, regional health networks, and Fortune 500 corporate offices that maintain significant operations headquarters in the city.
Are there remote business operations manager jobs in Charlotte?
Yes, though availability depends on the role, purely analytical or planning-focused positions tend to go remote more readily than hands-on operational roles tied to facilities or logistics. About 50% of business operations manager openings tied to Charlotte are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting a market where hybrid schedules are common at corporate offices in Uptown and Ballantyne. Coordination-heavy roles requiring site presence remain predominantly on-site.
How can I get a business operations manager job in Charlotte with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Charlotte is through operations coordinator or analyst roles at the city's large financial services firms, hospital systems like Atrium Health and Novant Health, or the growing base of logistics and distribution companies near the airport. These employers regularly promote from within, and lateral moves from project coordination, data analysis, or administrative management can open the door quickly when paired with a relevant certification.
