Case Manager Jobs in Brooklyn: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a case manager job in Brooklyn?
Brooklyn's strongest hiring comes from its hospital networks, community health centers, nonprofit social service agencies, and family court-connected programs, particularly in neighborhoods like Crown Heights, East New York, and Bushwick. Candidates with hands-on experience in housing, behavioral health, or child welfare stand out in this market. Fluency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or another language spoken widely in Brooklyn communities is a genuine competitive advantage with many local employers.
Which companies hire case managers in Brooklyn?
Companies currently hiring case managers in Brooklyn include CAMBA, ICL, and Samaritan Daytop Village, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Brooklyn's employer mix leans heavily toward large public hospital systems, Medicaid-funded managed care plans, and community-based nonprofit organizations operating across the borough's diverse neighborhoods.
Are there remote case manager jobs in Brooklyn?
Yes, but only for certain case manager functions. Roles that involve in-person client visits, home assessments, or court appearances are almost entirely on-site, while care coordination and utilization review positions lean more hybrid or remote. About 11% of case manager openings tied to Brooklyn are remote or hybrid as of July 2026. Managed care and insurance-side case management roles tend to offer the most flexibility in Brooklyn.
How can I get a case manager job in Brooklyn with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Brooklyn is through direct support or case aide roles at nonprofit social service agencies, many of which are concentrated in Bed-Stuy, Brownsville, and the South Bronx border areas and actively hire candidates without prior case management titles. Brooklyn's extensive network of CUNY-affiliated internship pipelines and community health worker programs also provides a practical first step. Demonstrating familiarity with populations the agency serves, even through volunteer work, consistently moves entry-level candidates forward in local hiring.
Which industries hire the most case managers in Brooklyn?
Most case manager openings in Brooklyn sit in Non-Profit & Social Services, Education, and Healthcare & Medical Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Brooklyn's density of public hospital campuses, Medicaid-heavy managed care contracts, and a large network of federally funded community organizations make these sectors the dominant employers of case managers across the borough.
