Client Advisor Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a client advisor job in Chicago?
Chicago's strongest hiring comes from private wealth firms along LaSalle Street, major retail banks with branch networks across Lincoln Park and the North Shore suburbs, and luxury retail on the Magnificent Mile. Candidates who speak a second language, hold a CFP or Series 65 license, or have a book of business from a prior role stand out in this market. Targeting boutique RIAs and regional banks over national chains often shortens the hiring timeline.
Which companies hire client advisors in Chicago?
Employers hiring client advisors in Chicago right now include JPMorganChase, Louis Vuitton, and Proper Cloth, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Chicago's market skews toward large financial institutions headquartered downtown and regional community banks serving the broader metro area.
Are there remote client advisor jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though with limits: client advisor roles that involve face-to-face relationship management are rarely fully remote, while planning, analysis, and inside sales functions are more likely to offer flexibility. About 50% of client advisor openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with hybrid schedules most common among wealth management and insurance firms headquartered in the Loop. Roles tied to branch banking or luxury retail remain predominantly on-site.
How can I get a client advisor job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through a retail banking associate or personal banker role at one of the large branch networks operating across the city and inner suburbs. Community development financial institutions and credit unions in neighborhoods like Pilsen and Bronzeville regularly hire entry-level client-facing staff and invest in training. From there, moving into a dedicated client advisor seat typically takes one to two years of demonstrated deposit or loan growth.
Which industries hire the most client advisors in Chicago?
Chicago client advisor roles concentrate in Fintech, Banking & Financial Services, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Chicago's position as a major financial hub, combined with its deep insurance sector and high concentration of corporate headquarters, sustains consistent demand for client-facing advisory talent across those industries.
