Client Associate Jobs in Nebraska: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client associate in Nebraska?
Most client associate roles in Nebraska require a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, plus industry licensing through FINRA. Employers typically sponsor candidates for the Series 7 and Series 66 exams after hiring. Nebraska does not have a separate state licensing board for client associates in financial services, so FINRA registration is the primary credential. Some firms also value coursework or certification in financial planning through bodies like the CFP Board.
Which companies hire client associates in Nebraska?
Companies currently hiring client associates in Nebraska include RBC, UBS, and Mariner, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Nebraska's concentration of insurance, brokerage, and retirement services firms in Omaha makes it one of the more active Midwestern markets for this role.
Which Nebraska cities have the most client associate jobs?
Omaha and Lincoln have the most client associate openings in Nebraska. Omaha leads because it is home to the regional and national headquarters of major financial services and insurance firms, while Lincoln's openings are driven by state government financial offices, university-affiliated institutions, and regional banking operations serving the surrounding agricultural economy.
Are there remote client associate jobs in Nebraska?
Yes, but they are less common than in purely analytical roles, since client associates often handle in-person relationship management and account servicing. About 0% of client associate openings tied to Nebraska are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. The tasks most likely to be performed remotely include client reporting, account documentation, and back-office processing, while onboarding meetings and relationship reviews tend to remain on-site.
How can I get hired as a client associate in Nebraska with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to new-associate programs at large Omaha-based firms like Mutual of Omaha or Ameritas, which regularly bring on recent graduates and sponsor their FINRA licensing. Candidates without direct experience often transition from bank teller, customer service representative, or operations analyst roles, where client-facing skills transfer directly. Building familiarity with investment account platforms and earning a relevant certification, such as a CFP foundational course, gives candidates a measurable edge in Nebraska interviews.
Where can I find and apply to client associate jobs in Nebraska?
You can find and apply to client associate jobs in Nebraska on Migrate Mate, which lists current Nebraska openings. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
