Full-Time | In-Person | Cinnaminson, NJ
Monday–Friday | $68,000–$70,000 | No Weekends | No On-Call
You’re Already Doing the Work. Maybe It’s Time the Job Caught Up.
You’re the clinician people come to when they have a question.
You catch the documentation issue. You help the newer clinician. You know when something doesn’t look right. You’ve probably solved problems that technically weren’t yours to solve.
So here’s the question:
Are you ready for a role that actually recognizes that?
It Takes A Family (ITAF) is hiring a Senior Clinician / Clinical Lead for our Cinnaminson location.
This isn’t a “lead” position where you get a nicer title and 14 additional headaches.
It’s a defined next step for an experienced clinician who wants to keep doing meaningful clinical work while beginning to take real ownership of how a program operates and grows.
$68,000–$70,000 per year
Monday–Friday. No weekends. No on-call.
Caseload of approximately 25 clients
Weekly clinical supervision toward LCSW, LPC, or LMFT after probation included as part of your role
Dedicated administrative support for scheduling and documentation
Real leadership responsibility not “other duties as assigned” disguised as professional development
Health, dental, and life insurance + paid time off
And most importantly:
A defined path forward.
This Is More Than Carrying a Caseload.
You’ll still be a clinician. That matters.
Licensing & Compliance
Help set the clinical standard for documentation, regulatory compliance, licensing requirements, and quality. When something falls out of alignment, you help identify it and get it back on track.
Client Services
Help establish what excellent care should look like across the location not only for your own clients, but for the clinicians and programs around you.
Growth
Help build what comes next.
You’ll partner with leadership on new services, community relationships, referral development, and expanding ITAF’s reach including developing referral opportunities for the underserved Spanish speaking population in Salem/Cumberland/Burlington County.
There is real work to be done here, and we want someone who wants a hand in building it.
And Then There's What's Next.
Operations and Team Development - become part of your exposure and development from day one.
We don't believe leadership development means throwing everything at someone at once and seeing whether they survive.
Depth first. Then expand your leadership.
As your capabilities grow, so does your scope.
What Your Week Actually Looks Like
You'll:
- Carry a direct caseload of approximately 25 clients using CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based modalities.
- Help oversee documentation quality and clinical compliance.
- Partner with leadership on service design and program development.
- Participate in community outreach and referral development.
- Help identify gaps in services and opportunities for growth.
- Contribute to the development and launch of new mental health programming at the location.
- Develop as a clinical leader while receiving structured support and supervision.
Who We're Looking For
Required:
- Active New Jersey LSW, LAC, or LAMFT
- 5+ years of clinical mental health experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience
- Commitment to serving underserved and at-risk populations
This Job Probably Makes Sense for You If…
You’ve been doing senior-level work without senior-level recognition.
You’re working toward full licensure and want supervision built into your professional development instead of another bill you pay every month.
You want leadership responsibility but you don't want to stop being a clinician.
You’d rather do excellent work with a manageable caseload than spend your career chasing impossible volume.
And when someone says there’s “room to grow,” you’d prefer they actually be able to show you where you're growing.
We can.

Clinical Lead Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical lead in New Jersey?
The path to a clinical lead role in New Jersey starts with earning and maintaining an active license through the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs for your specific discipline, whether nursing, social work, counseling, or another regulated field. Most employers require a bachelor's degree in a clinical area, with a master's preferred for senior positions. Candidates who build experience in direct care, then move into charge or senior clinician roles, are best positioned to compete for clinical lead openings in the state.
Which companies hire clinical leads in New Jersey?
Employers hiring clinical leads in New Jersey right now include ITAF, Cooper University Healthcare, and AbbVie, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New Jersey's large integrated health systems, including academic medical centers and community hospital networks, generate the most consistent volume of clinical lead openings across the state.
Which New Jersey cities have the most clinical lead jobs?
Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and Warren have the most clinical lead openings in New Jersey. Newark anchors the market as the state's largest city with several major hospital campuses, New Brunswick draws significant hiring through its academic medical and research institutions, and Camden serves as a hub for health systems serving the southwestern corridor of the state.
Are there remote clinical lead jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, but they're rare. Clinical lead roles are largely on-site by nature, since the work involves direct oversight of clinical staff, patient care operations, and facility-based quality processes. About 73% of clinical lead openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of August 2026. The portions most likely to be remote are administrative responsibilities such as care coordination documentation, compliance reporting, and staff scheduling.
How can I get hired as a clinical lead in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a senior or charge clinician role into a clinical lead position within the same New Jersey employer. Large systems such as RWJBarnabas Health and Hackensack Meridian Health run new-graduate residency and clinical fellowship programs that build a foundation for leadership. Earning a specialty certification recognized by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, volunteering for quality improvement committees, and taking on informal preceptor duties all strengthen a candidate's case for a first clinical lead appointment.
Where can I find and apply to clinical lead jobs in New Jersey?
You can find and apply to clinical lead jobs in New Jersey on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and specialty, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
