Clinical Research Manager Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical research manager in Arizona?
Most clinical research managers in Arizona start as research coordinators, then advance after gaining trial management experience and earning a professional credential. Arizona does not issue a state license for this role, but employers widely require ACRP or SOCRA certification, such as the CCRC or CCRP. Candidates typically hold a bachelor's degree in a life science or clinical field, with some larger Arizona systems preferring a master's degree for manager-level appointments.
Which companies hire clinical research managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring clinical research managers in Arizona right now include Banner Health, University of Arizona, and HonorHealth, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Arizona's large integrated health systems and its growing oncology and device trial sponsors generate steady manager-level openings throughout the year.
Which Arizona cities have the most clinical research manager jobs?
Phoenix, Tucson, and Scottsdale have the most clinical research manager openings in Arizona. Phoenix dominates because of its concentration of large health systems and pharmaceutical contract research organizations, while Tucson's hiring is driven heavily by the University of Arizona Health Sciences complex and affiliated oncology programs.
Are there remote clinical research manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, but they are limited, because clinical research managers routinely oversee on-site trial activity, staff, and IRB processes that require physical presence. About 25% of clinical research manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those roles tend to be in sponsor-side or contract research organization oversight positions rather than site-based management.
How can I get hired as a clinical research manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a clinical research coordinator at a large Arizona health system or academic medical center and building toward a manager role over two to three years. Banner Health, Dignity Health, and the University of Arizona Health Network regularly post coordinator and research associate openings that serve as the direct pipeline. Earning a CCRC or CCRP certification early gives Arizona candidates a clear competitive edge when applying for first manager appointments.
Where can I find and apply to clinical research manager jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to clinical research manager jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings across health systems, biotech sponsors, and contract research organizations. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly from the listings.
