About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure and Observability) to join Nuro's growing Infrastructure team.

About the Work

• Collaborate and work cross-functionally amongst teams are Nuro to align on customer needs.
• Build high-quality and scalable solutions for infrastructure-as-code, application deployment to Kubernetes clusters.
• Build automation to improve developer experience, infrastructure reliability, and security.
• Create observability solutions to monitor production systems, track health status, and improve system performance.

About You

• You have start-up DNA: You have demonstrated an ability to thrive in the ambiguity of a dynamic, start-up environment or have the DNA to do so.
• You have excellent communication skills.
• You have software development skills, preferably in Python or Go
• You are experienced with developing in a public cloud environment.
• You are experienced with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• You are experienced with observability tools
• You are experienced with building, scaling, and maintaining production systems.
• You possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field or 3+ years of equivalent experience.

Bonus Points

• You have cloud/hybrid networking experience.
• You have software architecture experience.
• You have experience in deploying and managing large distributed applications (e.g. with Kubernetes and ArgoCD)
• You have experience designing and building observability systems

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $145,830 and $219,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
