Align Your Credentials to Clinical Physics Standards
AccentCare hires physics professionals into regulated healthcare settings, so your credentials need to reflect clinical relevance. CAMPEP-accredited training or board certification in medical physics strengthens your candidacy and simplifies the specialty occupation case in an H-1B or EB petition.
Target AccentCare Roles Tied to Imaging or Radiation
AccentCare's physics openings tend to cluster around diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy workflows. When filtering open roles, prioritize positions that explicitly list clinical physics or medical physics responsibilities, since these map most cleanly to the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies.
Clarify OPT or CPT Eligibility Before You Apply
If you're on F-1 status, confirm whether the role qualifies for STEM OPT extension before your first interview. Physics is a STEM-designated field, so a 24-month STEM OPT extension is likely available, but your DSO must authorize it and AccentCare must be E-Verify enrolled.
Ask Recruiters About EB Sponsorship Timelines Early
AccentCare has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 green cards for technical roles. Raise the question of permanent residency sponsorship during the offer negotiation stage, not after you've signed, so both sides understand the PERM labor certification timeline and who bears associated costs.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active Physics Openings
Physics roles at large healthcare employers like AccentCare fill quickly and aren't always listed with sponsorship filters on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified AccentCare openings filtered by visa type so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Prepare a Specialty Occupation Evidence File in Advance
For H-1B filings, USCIS scrutinizes whether a physics role in a healthcare setting genuinely requires a degree in physics or a directly related field. Gather job postings, your degree transcripts, and any licensure documentation before the offer stage so your employer's immigration attorney can move quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does AccentCare sponsor H-1B visas for Physics roles?
AccentCare's sponsorship history for Physics roles includes employment-based Green Card categories rather than H-1B visa as a primary pathway, though the company has demonstrated willingness to support international candidates across multiple visa types. If H-1B sponsorship is your goal, raise it explicitly during the offer stage and confirm the company's current policy with your recruiter, since sponsorship decisions can vary by role and location.
Which visa types are commonly used for Physics roles at AccentCare?
AccentCare has sponsored Physics candidates under EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories, as well as F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT for students in clinical or research physics programs. TN visa sponsorship is also available for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose physics credentials align with the TN scientist category. The right pathway depends on your current status and career stage.
What qualifications does AccentCare expect for Physics positions?
Physics roles at AccentCare are typically clinical in nature, supporting diagnostic imaging or radiation therapy in a healthcare environment. Employers in this space generally expect a graduate degree in medical physics or a closely related field, CAMPEP accreditation is a strong differentiator, and board certification through the American Board of Radiology or American Board of Medical Physics significantly strengthens your application for senior positions.
How do I apply for Physics jobs at AccentCare?
Browse open Physics roles at AccentCare directly on their careers site or through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. Tailor your application to highlight clinical physics experience and any relevant board certifications. If you're on F-1 OPT, include your EAD details in early conversations so recruiters can route your file appropriately.
How do I navigate the timeline between a Physics job offer and visa filing at AccentCare?
For F-1 OPT candidates, work authorization begins when your EAD is valid and your employer is E-Verify enrolled, so confirm enrollment before your start date. For EB-sponsored candidates, the PERM labor certification process alone can take six months to over a year before an I-140 petition is filed with USCIS. Starting these conversations at the offer stage, not after onboarding, gives both sides time to plan without gaps in your work authorization.
