Verify Your Medical Credentials Match State Requirements
AccentCare operates across multiple states, and each has its own medical licensing board. Before applying, confirm your foreign medical degree is recognized in the state where the role is posted and that your USMLE steps are complete.
Target AccentCare's Home Health Physician Openings
AccentCare fills physician roles primarily in home health and hospice settings, not hospital systems. Search specifically for Medical Director, Attending Physician, and Palliative Care Physician titles to find the roles most likely to align with their sponsorship track record.
Understand the PERM Timeline Before Accepting an Offer
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship requires DOL PERM labor certification, which can take a year or more before USCIS even receives your I-140 petition. Ask your AccentCare recruiter early whether they initiate PERM concurrently with onboarding or after a probationary period.
Clarify TN Eligibility for Your Physician Subspecialty
TN status covers physicians in specific contexts, including research and teaching, but not all clinical roles qualify. If you're Canadian or Mexican, confirm with AccentCare's immigration counsel whether your exact role description meets USMCA TN physician criteria before relying on this pathway.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Physician Roles by Visa Type
AccentCare sponsors across several visa categories, and not every open role qualifies for every pathway. Use Migrate Mate to filter AccentCare's physician listings by the visa types you're eligible for, so you're only applying to roles that match your authorization situation.
Request a Written Sponsorship Commitment Before Resigning Your Current Role
Physician sponsorship at AccentCare involves coordination between HR, legal counsel, and credentialing. Get a written confirmation of sponsorship intent and the specific visa pathway they'll pursue before giving notice, especially if you're currently on OPT with a limited timeline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does AccentCare sponsor H-1B visas for Physicians?
AccentCare's physician sponsorship history is centered on employment-based Green Card pathways like EB-2 and EB-3, along with F-1 OPT and TN visa for eligible candidates. H-1B visa sponsorship for physicians in direct clinical roles is less straightforward because of specialty occupation requirements, so confirm the specific pathway with your AccentCare recruiter before assuming H-1B is on the table for your role.
How do I apply for Physician jobs at AccentCare?
You can browse open physician roles at AccentCare directly through their careers site or through Migrate Mate, which filters by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can identify positions that match your work authorization situation. When applying, tailor your materials to AccentCare's home health and hospice focus, and flag your visa status clearly in early conversations with the recruiting team to confirm sponsorship intent before advancing.
Which visa types does AccentCare commonly use for Physician roles?
AccentCare has sponsored physicians through EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories, which involve PERM labor certification through the DOL followed by an I-140 petition with USCIS. F-1 OPT and CPT are options for physicians completing U.S. training programs, and TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose specific role qualifies under USMCA criteria.
What qualifications does AccentCare expect for sponsored Physician positions?
AccentCare physician roles typically require a valid medical license in the state of employment, completion of U.S. residency training, and board certification or active board eligibility in a relevant specialty. For home health and hospice positions, experience in geriatrics, palliative care, or internal medicine is a practical advantage. Foreign medical graduates should confirm their credentials are recognized by the relevant state medical board before applying.
How do I plan my timeline if AccentCare is sponsoring me for a Green Card?
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship starts with PERM labor certification at the DOL, which alone can take 12 to 18 months. After USCIS approves your I-140 petition, your priority date determines how long you wait for a visa number, which can be substantial for physicians born in high-demand countries. Raise the timeline with AccentCare's HR team at the offer stage so both sides align on expectations before you start.
