About Amigo
Amigo partners with healthcare organizations to deploy robust AI infrastructure that directly serves patients and providers. Our agents handle clinical workflows and patient engagement across the entire journey: pre-visit intake, care navigation, post-visit care plans, patient monitoring, and more.
We own outcomes, not just delivery. For our customers, we're responsible for agent performance: clinical safety, continuous improvement, measurable patient outcomes. Agents operate autonomously within bounded clinical domains, with clear scope and handoff protocols. That scope expands as we validate performance across populations.
We're backed by Tier 1 investors like General Catalyst, GSV Ventures, SVA, and CohoVC. Our work is validated with leading academic medical institutions. Our agents have reached 3M+ patient encounters and are on track to 10x this year.
About this role
As a Full-Stack Engineer at Amigo, you'll build the foundational applications that power clinical operations. Three products: Control Center for real-time oversight of agent conversations, Research Platform for natural language queries over healthcare data, and Agent Forge for designing agent behavior without code.
You'll own significant features—from database schema to API to UI—across systems that handle sensitive patient data at scale. These applications are how clinical teams, researchers, and customers interact with our platform daily. High standards for correctness and reliability are expected.
- Build and ship features across Control Center, Research Platform, and Agent Forge
- Design and implement real-time interfaces for clinical oversight—streaming conversations, escalation workflows, audit trails
- Create natural language query interfaces over healthcare data with appropriate certainty and feasibility indicators
- Build no-code tools that enable non-engineers to design and configure agent behaviors
- Implement responsive, accessible UIs that work across desktop and mobile for clinical users
- Design APIs and data models that support real-time streaming, voice, and multi-channel communication
- Build authentication, authorization, and audit logging for healthcare compliance
- Optimize performance for applications handling high-volume clinical data
- Collaborate with agent engineers, clinicians, and customers to understand workflow requirements
- Contribute to shared component libraries and design system
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of production full-stack engineering experience at high-caliber teams
- Strong React/TypeScript skills with modern patterns (hooks, server components, state management)
- Experience building Python backend services and REST APIs
- Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization
- Track record of owning features end-to-end from design through deployment
- High standards for code quality, testing, and system reliability
- Both execution-oriented and defensive-minded: you ship fast while anticipating failure modes
- Strong product instincts—can translate user needs into elegant technical solutions
- Experience working in fast-moving environments with evolving requirements
- Clear communication across engineering and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with healthcare applications or regulated industries
- Background with voice/telephony systems or real-time communication
- Familiarity with data visualization and analytics dashboards
- Understanding of accessibility requirements for clinical software
- Experience with mobile development (React Native, iOS, Android)
Benefits
Health & Wellness
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
- Daily catered lunch and dinner
- Mental health support and wellness coaching
- Flexible wellness stipend for fitness, therapy, or personal growth
Growth & Development
- Annual learning budget for courses, books, or conferences
- Conference attendance budget for professional development
- Annual team offsite
- Academic collaboration opportunities
- Unlimited PTO
Our Core Values
- Patients Win, We Win
If patients aren't getting better care, we haven't earned the right to scale. Every internal decision gets pressure-tested: does this make patients' lives better? If we can't draw the line, we question why we're doing it.
- High Standards, High Care
We hold a high bar for the team because patients are counting on us to get this right. But high standards only work with genuine investment in each other. You can take risks, admit mistakes, and challenge ideas—not despite our standards, but because of them.
- Thoughtful Urgency
We move fast by default, but speed without judgment is recklessness. The discipline is knowing which decisions are reversible vs. not. In healthcare AI, the companies that win will be fast everywhere they can be and careful everywhere they must be. We build the muscle to do both.
- Intensely Measured
We instrument patient outcomes, provider ROI, system performance, and clinical accuracy. But data without action is surveillance. Every metric should have an owner, a threshold, and a response plan. If we're measuring something but never acting on it, we stop measuring it.
Who Builds With Us
- Low ego: Politics and territory don't interest you. The best ideas win, regardless of who has them.
- Direct: You say the hard thing, challenge ideas openly, and commit fully once decided.
- High agency: You thrive on trust rather than instruction. When you see something is broken, you fix it. You don’t file tickets and wait for someone else.
- Bar of excellence: You hold yourself to a bar most people wouldn't, and you want teammates who do the same.
- Skeptical: You push back on rules that don’t make sense and question assumptions that haven’t earned their place.
Compensation Range: $195K - $206K

How to Get Visa Sponsorship in AMIGO Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation criteria
AMIGO's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in technical roles requiring a degree in a specific field. Software engineering, data, and systems-focused positions are your strongest entry points for sponsorship consideration at a technology company like AMIGO.
Ask about sponsorship early, but frame it correctly
In tech hiring, sponsorship conversations happen during recruiter screens, not offer stages. Ask whether the role is open to candidates requiring H-1B sponsorship, not whether the company sponsors, it signals you understand the process.
Check if your visa type is supported before applying
AMIGO sponsors H-1B and supports F-1 OPT and TN visa holders. Confirm your specific visa type is covered before investing time in the application. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history.
Research AMIGO's open roles before reaching out
Technology companies often post roles without explicitly advertising sponsorship. Browse AMIGO's active listings on Migrate Mate, which filters for verified sponsoring employers, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is genuinely on the table.

Does AMIGO sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, AMIGO sponsors H-1B visas. The company has an active sponsorship record in the Technology & Software industry, with H-1B filings on record. Sponsorship is most common for technical roles that meet USCIS specialty occupation criteria, meaning the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field directly related to the job duties.
Which visa types does AMIGO support for international candidates?
AMIGO supports H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN visa holders. This means the company is equipped to hire candidates across several common international work authorization categories. If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT to H-1B, or if you're a Canadian or Mexican national eligible for TN status, AMIGO's visa coverage is worth factoring into your job search.
Which departments or roles at AMIGO are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
At a Technology & Software company like AMIGO, visa sponsorship is most commonly tied to technical roles, software development, engineering, data, and systems-focused positions. These roles typically satisfy the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B purposes. Non-technical roles in operations or administration are less likely to qualify, though eligibility depends on the specific job duties and degree requirement.
How do I find open jobs at AMIGO that offer visa sponsorship?
The most reliable way is to search for AMIGO on Migrate Mate, which aggregates roles from verified sponsoring employers and lets you filter by visa type. This saves you the guesswork of applying to listings that don't actually support international candidates. Once you identify a relevant role, confirm sponsorship directly with the recruiter during the initial screen.
How do I time my application to AMIGO around the H-1B cap?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in early March each year, with the lottery typically completed by late March and petitions filed by April 1. If you're currently on F-1 OPT, you'll want to have an offer in place before registration opens. Starting your outreach to AMIGO in the preceding fall or winter gives you the best chance of being included in that cycle.
