INTRODUCTION
Apple has one of the most complicated and efficient supply chains in the world, powered by world class internal systems and tools developed and managed by the Global Sourcing and Supply Management (GSSM) Solutions & Strategy team. These tools enable us to effectively manage costs, supply, and bring supply chain intelligence to the forefront of our decisions. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to be responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and execution to streamline, analyze, and drive decisions. This means creating intuitive experiences that leverage the full potential of a Frontier LLM while being simple, approachable and incredibly powerful.
We work cross-functionally and you will partner daily with our AI engineers, designers, software developers & stakeholders to build impactful software products, specifically unlocking new Agentic experiences. We believe in going deep on user research and data analysis to decide where we should go next with our products, we believe in delivering iterative features quickly and continuously improving our products and processes, and we are a strong design and product-led organization. We love talking to and working with our users every day to enable them to do their best work.
We want someone that has experience taking an idea from the whiteboard to production and then scale it.
DESCRIPTION
The GSSM organization enables the mass production of Apple's entire product line from iPhones, iPads and MacBooks to the Mac Pro, AppleTV, Apple Watch and Vision Pro. The applications we build are used daily by the people at Apple that manage supply, cost, BOM across all products and regions. We have a large cross functional user group including Global supply managers, Material Program managers, Ops Finance, Legal, Suppliers and Contract Manufacturers. We work closely with them to design and architect the best solutions for the challenges faced when making the highest quality hardware products.
We are actively expanding our AI capabilities to drive daily efficiencies, pushing to develop cutting-edge solutions that leverage MCP and agentic technologies to revolutionize supply chain management for Apple. This role demands a deep understanding of AI principles, practical experience in building and deploying AI-powered applications, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of what's possible. You will be instrumental in driving the next generation of AI capabilities within GSSM, directly impacting Apple's ability to deliver its products at scale.

Frame your portfolio around on-device AI
Apple differentiates on privacy-first, on-device intelligence rather than cloud-heavy AI. Tailor your PM portfolio to highlight experience shipping features where inference runs locally, not just SaaS or API-layer products. Interviewers will probe this distinction.
Confirm your visa type before applying
Apple sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT among others, but each has different timing constraints. If your OPT expires within six months of a target start date, flag it early so the recruiting team can sequence the H-1B or E-3 filing without a status gap.
Target Apple's ML Platform and Siri org specifically
Apple's AI PM openings cluster in discrete orgs: Core ML, Siri and Information Intelligence, and Vision Products. Searching broadly for product manager roles will miss them. Filter by these business units to find postings where visa sponsorship is most consistently offered.
Use Migrate Mate to surface Apple AI PM openings
Apple's career site doesn't filter by sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to browse verified AI Product Manager roles at Apple that are open to visa sponsorship, so you can apply to the right postings without guessing which ones will support your status.
Align your degree field to specialty occupation standards
USCIS requires that an H-1B or E-3 role qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning your degree field must directly relate to the position. For Apple AI PM roles, degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Human-Computer Interaction carry the strongest alignment during DOL LCA review.
Request an early start on LCA filing after offer acceptance
Once Apple's immigration team begins your petition, the DOL must certify the Labor Condition Application before the I-129 can be filed with USCIS. Ask your recruiter to confirm the internal handoff timeline so LCA preparation starts immediately after your offer is countersigned.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Apple sponsor H-1B visas for AI Product Managers?
Yes, Apple sponsors H-1B visas for AI Product Manager roles. The H-1B is the most common pathway for non-Australian, non-Canadian candidates in this function. Because H-1B cap-subject petitions are subject to an annual lottery, timing your job search to align with the April filing window is critical. Apple typically works with outside immigration counsel to file petitions promptly once an offer is finalized.
How do I apply for AI Product Manager jobs at Apple?
You can apply directly through Apple's careers site at jobs.apple.com. AI Product Manager roles are distributed across orgs like Core ML, Siri and Information Intelligence, and Vision Products, so searching by those teams yields more targeted results than a broad title search. Migrate Mate also surfaces Apple AI PM roles filtered by visa sponsorship availability, which saves time if you need to confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying.
Which visa types does Apple commonly use for AI Product Manager roles?
Apple sponsors H-1B for most international AI PMs, along with E-3 visa for Australian citizens and TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying categories. F-1 OPT and CPT candidates are also supported during the student phase. For longer-term immigration, Apple sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, including PERM labor certification, for employees who transition to permanent residence.
What qualifications does Apple look for in AI Product Manager candidates?
Apple typically expects a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field for AI PM roles. Hands-on experience shipping AI or ML-powered features, familiarity with on-device inference constraints, and the ability to work directly with research and hardware teams are weighted heavily. Candidates with prior experience in consumer hardware or systems-level software products tend to advance further in the process.
How do I think about timing if I'm on F-1 OPT and targeting an Apple AI PM role?
If you hold a STEM degree, F-1 STEM OPT gives you up to 24 months of extended work authorization after your initial 12-month OPT period, which creates enough runway for an H-1B cap filing cycle. Start your Apple application at least six months before your current OPT expires. USCIS requires the H-1B petition to be filed before your status lapses, and Apple's internal process needs lead time to prepare the LCA and I-129.
