Align your credentials to DOL wage levels
Applied Industrial Technologies files PERM-based sponsorship, which ties your role to a prevailing wage determination. Review DOL wage levels for manufacturing technician positions in your target region before applying so your experience aligns with the correct level.
Target branches with active technician pipelines
Applied Industrial Technologies operates service centers across the country, and hiring activity for manufacturing technicians is not uniform. Focus your applications on locations with consistent open requisitions, which signal an established local workforce need rather than a one-off backfill.
Document hands-on technical certifications early
PERM labor certification requires your employer to verify that your qualifications match the posted job requirements exactly. Gather documentation for any relevant certifications, such as fluid power, predictive maintenance, or industrial automation credentials, before the sponsorship conversation begins.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship roles
Not every Manufacturing Technician listing at Applied Industrial Technologies is attached to a sponsorship pathway. Use Migrate Mate to browse and filter roles at Applied Industrial Technologies that are tied to verified employment-based sponsorship activity for this specific job function.
Understand how PERM priority dates affect your timeline
Once your employer files the PERM application with DOL, your priority date is set and determines your place in the Green Card queue. For applicants from high-demand countries, that queue can be lengthy, so factor this into your broader status maintenance planning.

Find Manufacturing Technician at Applied Industrial Technologies JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Applied Industrial Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Technicians?
Manufacturing Technician roles at Applied Industrial Technologies are generally classified as production or technical support positions rather than specialty occupations under USCIS standards, which is the threshold required for H-1B eligibility. The company's sponsorship activity for this role category has focused on employment-based Green Card pathways rather than the H-1B. If you're pursuing this function, an EB-3 route is the more realistic conversation to have with a hiring manager.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manufacturing Technician roles at Applied Industrial Technologies?
Applied Industrial Technologies has sponsored employment-based Green Cards for Manufacturing Technician roles, primarily through the EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories. EB-3 is the more common fit for skilled technician positions, as it covers workers with at least two years of training or experience. The process involves a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Technician jobs at Applied Industrial Technologies?
You can browse and apply for Manufacturing Technician openings at Applied Industrial Technologies through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with verified sponsorship history for this job function. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect hands-on technical skills relevant to industrial distribution, such as bearing, power transmission, or fluid power experience, since those map directly to what Applied Industrial Technologies services. Follow up with the recruiter to confirm sponsorship availability for the specific role and location.
What qualifications does Applied Industrial Technologies expect for Manufacturing Technician roles?
Applied Industrial Technologies typically looks for candidates with a technical degree or vocational training in a relevant field such as mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology, combined with practical hands-on experience. Familiarity with industrial components like bearings, drives, and hydraulic systems is an advantage given the company's distribution and service focus. Relevant certifications in fluid power, reliability, or industrial maintenance strengthen your profile and are important for PERM documentation purposes.
How do I understand the timeline for Green Card sponsorship through Applied Industrial Technologies?
The EB-3 Green Card process through an employer like Applied Industrial Technologies typically takes several years from start to finish. It begins with PERM labor certification at the DOL, which alone can take 12 to 18 months or longer. Once USCIS approves the I-140 petition, your wait for an immigrant visa number depends on your country of birth and the current priority date movement in the DOS Visa Bulletin. Starting this process as early as possible after hire is the most practical approach.
